Stephen Lerner, OWS Organize Next Round of Marxist Protests

Stephen Lerner is a former big wig at SEIU and current board member. Last year you’ll recall that Lerner had proposed targeting JP Morgan Chase in an effort to destroy the bank. Lerner’s attempt to bring down JP Morgan Chase ultimately morphs into Occupy Wall Street. OWS in fact did try to shut down banks and were successful at temporarily closing branch offices. OWS has also been successful in temporarily shutting down ports on the west coast.
The media has portrayed OWS as a group of college students frustrated with the lack of jobs and student loan debt. In reality, OWS is a highly organized protest movement being coordinated by unions, socialists, Marxists and people like Lerner and Van Jones. The media has ignored the socialist, anti-capitalist bent to OWS and instead focused on their vague call for “democracy.” In reality, what Lerner and OWS are really after is the abolition of capitalism.
Breitbart, presumably before his death, got hold video from a meeting between Lerner and various leaders within the OWS movement. It exposes what OWS is really after. They declare that capitalism and democracy are incompatible. Let’s take a look at that a little more because the media has ignored the anti-capitalist bent to OWS while they have played up the pro-democracy message of the protesters.
Most Americans believe we live in a democracy. In fact, we have a constitutional republic. Nevertheless, most Americans think we have a democracy and pols are endlessly talking about American democracy. The democracy that most Americans believe in, that being our constitutional republic, is not the same democracy that OWS believes in. The OWS definition of democracy is radically different than what most Americans think of when they hear the term democracy. That’s what makes the media’s portrayal of OWS as a bunch of democracy fighters so devious. The public is never told that the OWS version of democracy is not the same as theirs.
The OWS version of democracy is anti-capitalist. It’s socialist, if not outright Marxist. Americans overwhelmingly oppose both socialism and Marxism, which is why the media never bothers to tell the public that the democracy OWS is protesting for isn’t what we think it is. The media is supportive of OWS and its goals, which is why the most negative parts of OWS are ignored. It’s also why the OWS goals are never reported on.
Lerner and company in the video posted by Breitbart actively support the overthrow of capitalism. They take it even further though. They support occupying foreclosed houses so that the homes. In short they support allowing people who don’t pay their mortgage bill to stay in a home indefinitely for free. They’re willing to go so far as to protest at the home in order to achieve this. They also want to occupy shareholder meetings and disrupt corporate business.
Lerner and company want to not only occupy homes and shareholder meetings (they cite the Bank of America shareholder meeting in Charlotte as a targeted event) but they also want workers to organize strikes. In short they want to completely collapse the American economy. You might ask why they would want to do this. It’s simple. If they can take down the American economy, they can then be the leaders who take power and create a new socialism in America. It’s all in the video, they want a new morality, a new economy and really a new everything.
Let’s face facts, we’re dealing with Marxist revolutionaries who the media portrays as average people and college students frustrated with lack of jobs. In reality, OWS is a highly organized group of extremely leftists who are agitating for a radical end to the American economy and a complete shift in morality. This is nothing if not Marxist. Stephen Lerner, SEIU, Van Jones and a host of other radical leftists are at the center of OWS organizing all of this chaos. It is not an organic protest, it is highly organized. They do not support the sort of democracy the American people support. They don’t simply want hope and change, they want Marxist revolution.
