Why Are Extreme Leftists Supporting Cop Killer Christopher Dorner?

Christopher Dorner is a former LAPD cop, fired in 2008. After nearly five years he’s taken “revenge” against the police department by killing a cop and two others. He’s released a manifesto wherein be praises President Obama, Hillary Clinton, Piers Morgan and supports gun control. Interestingly the media largely left information about Dorner’s left-wing politics out of their reporting. Suddenly they aren’t interested in announcing the politics of a cop killer. This after accusing every mass public shooter since 2009 of either being a right-winger or a member of the Tea Party. Unable to link any of these people with the Tea Party, they blamed Sarah Palin and the NRA.

Leftists are coming out of the woodwork to support Dorner. They find him to be a hero. What is it with the far left and cop killers? They have long supported cop killer Mumia Abu-Jamal, claiming he is a political prisoner. Now they’re supporting Christopher Dorner. Some of these folks claim there is corruption in the LAPD. That’s fine and dandy, there may very well be massive corruption within that police department. How does that justify murdering cops? Especially so when Dorner was fired over four years ago. This guy isn’t a hero, the’s a calculating cold blooded murderer.

Dorner is also a leftist, which is why the media isn’t reporting about his manifesto in a truthful manner. Dorner had the following to say in his manifesto:

You disrespect the office of the POTUS/Presidency and Commander in Chief. You call him Kenyan, mongroid, halfrican, muslim, and FBHO when in essence you are to address him as simply, President. The same as you did to President George W. Bush and all those in the highest ranking position of our land before him. Just as I always have. You question his birth certificate, his educational and professional accomplishments, and his judeo-christian beliefs. You make disparaging remarks about his dead parents…

If you had a well regulated AWB, this would not happen. The time is now to reinstitute a ban that will save lives. Why does any sportsman need a 30 round magazine for hunting? Why does anyone need a suppressor? Why does anyone need a AR15 rifle? This is the same small arms weapons system utilized in eradicating Al Qaeda, Taliban, and every enemy combatant since the Vietnam war. Don’t give me that crap that its not a select fire or full auto rifle like the DoD uses. That’s bullshit because troops who carry the M-4/M-16 weapon system for combat ops outside the wire rarely utilize the select fire function when in contact with enemy combatants….

Mr. (Piers) Morgan, the problem that many American gun owners have with you and your continuous discussion of gun control is that you are not an American citizen and have an accent that is distinct and clarifies that you are a foreigner. I want you to know that I agree with you 100% on enacting stricter firearm law.

Isn’t it interesting that the media has largely ignored this information about Dorner. He is a gun control leftist, who interestingly used guns to murder a cop and two others. He supports the left-wing media, he supports President Obama. The media is focused on his accusations of corruption in the LAPD, that’s only half the story. Dorner is a leftist, who like Mumia Abu-Jamal is on a leftist crusade. If Dorner praised Republicans and the Tea Party you can bet CNN would talk about it endlessly. CNN still hasn’t mentioned Dorner’s praise of their weeknight headliner.

Christopher Dorner exposes the worst of the far left and the bias within the media. The far left loves them a cop killer, especially one with a broader political agenda. In this world accusing a police department of corruption is justification for murder. As for the media, we once again see how they treat conservatives and liberals differently. Liberal crimes get brushed under the rug, political liberals who kill are never identified as such. Conservatives are accused, usually without evidence, and the media uses their politics as evidence of criminal activity. In the media world liberals are heroic and cannot be attacked, conservatives are evil and may be attacked without justification. In Dorner we’ve gotten to see this in play yet again.

America’s Comeback Team: Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan

Mitt Romney has selected Paul Ryan as his running mate. He is set to make the announcement in a little more than an hour. This pick will appease conservatives across the board. Not only is Ryan the author of the famed Ryan budget but he’s also a social conservative. There’s a must watch video of him taking down Obama and Obamacare in around six minutes. Ryan is no doubt one of the new intellectual political leaders of the conservative movement, he will be greatly cheered by the right. Generally speaking this is a good, safe pick even if it isn’t groundbreaking.

The Ryan pick is great for conservatives. Which of course means the media trolls will attack him. The New Yorker attacked his lack of private sector experience. That’s rich considering that Obama and Biden have zero private sector experience and Romney himself has spent his entire career, sans four years as Massachusetts Governor, in the private sector. These liberals in the media will always find something to attack a Republican over while conveniently ignoring the same problem in their preferred candidate. As the day wears on expect the attacks to become greater on Ryan from the liberal media.

Now for some conservative critique. I like Paul Ryan and think he’ll make an excellent VP. He’s like Sarah Palin in that he’ll excite the base and help Romney get his voters to the polls. But he is lacking, he isn’t the perfect selection. He brings no constituency to the ticket. Someone like Rubio would have brought a group of Hispanics with him, including Florida’s 29 electoral votes. Ryan has zero foreign policy experience yet as VP he will sit on the National Security Council. Any of the Senators mentioned as possible running mates would have had more foreign policy experience in the Senate than Ryan has had in the House. Ryan doesn’t balance Romney’s limited foreign policy experience.

The biggest problem all of us should have with this announcement is that it’s being made on a Saturday. What is the Romney campaign thinking making this announcement on a weekend, particularly an Olympic weekend? Friday night and Saturday morning is the time when campaigns and governments dump information they don’t want anyone to pay attention to. It gets lost in the sea of the weekend. No doubt Ryan will probably end up on most of the Sunday morning talk shows but those shows don’t matter to anyone other than diehard beltway insiders. Making the announcement today in order to get on meaningless shows tomorrow should strike everyone as curious.

Why not save this announcement until Monday in order to get maximum media exposure during a typical 24 hour weekday news cycle. As it stands, many people won’t even know about the pick until Monday. By then Obama and his team will have had time to pick apart Ryan’s career and life and thus the media coverage will be more focused on that then on the pick. It simply makes no sense to make the announcement today, at 9 am when half the country is still asleep. Why is the Romney team trying to hide Paul Ryan?

Make no mistake, this is a good pick for Mitt Romney. It will solidify his base behind him. No one in the GOP will spend significant time grousing about Ryan’s foreign policy deficit. We’ll all look forward to him wiping the floor with Biden at the VP debate. He is this year’s Sarah Palin, only more intelligent and more prepared for the national stage. For that we on the right should be excited.

For 16 Years Obama’s Agent Claims He Was Born In Kenya

Breitbart has discovered a 1991 literary agency bio of Barack Obama which claims he was born in Kenya. Obama’s agent claims to have “misidentified” Obama’s birthplace. Yet that same agency was using the same bio until 2007. It simply makes no sense that such a mistake would happen and continue for 16 years without anyone, especially Obama, catching on. Where would Obama’s agent in 1991 get information that he was born in Kenya? Surely they weren’t getting it from the legion of birthers making wild claims about a future president no one had ever heard of at the time. They of course got the information from Obama himself.

Breitbart’s take on this isn’t that the birther people are correct, rather their take is that Obama changes himself and his history to suit his purposes. You’ll recall in 2008 he told a group in Alabama that he was conceived after the Selma march. That he was 4 years old when the march took place wasn’t important, he was trying to convince Democrats to support his nomination. Trying to make a grand racial point in Dreams From My Father, Obama recalls a fight over race with his white girlfriend. The girlfriend says the fight never happened and Obama has since admitted the fight was ”composite” of his former girlfriends. Composite might as well mean lie because the fight never happened. Again, he changes his history to suit his purposes. Obama changed his past in the 2008 debates when he claimed he didn’t launch his state senate campaign in the home of terrorist Bill Ayers. That was untrue but it suited Obama’s purposes at the moment.

What makes this booklet all the more interesting is that two groups of people apparently didn’t find it. Hillary Clinton and the media. Keep in mind, it was Hillary who started the birther craze. Her people looked into Obama’s background and they’re the ones who raised the first questions about it. How could they miss this booklet, which was in print for 16 years? Perhaps Hillary didn’t have enough money to spend on in depth research about Obama though one wonders why her surrogates didn’t spend the money.

The big group that completely missed the boat on this is the mainstream media. It has become abundantly clear that the mainstream press never vetted Obama. In 2008 the media portrayed Obama according to the narrative written by the Obama campaign. They never looked into his past, they never dug around. The best the media did was focus on Rev. Jeremiah Wright but even in that they blindly accepted Obama’s assertion that he must have missed Wright’s controversial sermons. They never looked into his childhood, they never asked why he was sent off to be mentored by communist Marshall Davis. The media surely never asked what effect Davis has had on Obama’s political outlook.

The media never wondered about his family life in Indonesia. We now know he had a transvestite nanny while living there. The media never dug around Obama’s school life, they’ve never wondered how he was able to transfer from Occidental College to Columbia. In 2008 we never heard anything of his former girlfriends, information about them is only trickling out now. The media is completely uninterested in Obama’s cocaine use, which he admitted to in his book. We know next to nothing about his time as a “community organizer” in Chicago. Surely there is information out there about this time but the media hasn’t looked into it at all.

It’s interesting that we know almost nothing about Obama’s past and what we do know has largely come out during his time as President. The media never vetted him, they never dug around. But we do know Mitt Romney might have taken a prank too far nearly 50 years ago. We know all about Romney’s business dealings, the media consistently reports on them. We know George W. Bush’s college grades because the media got them and published them. The media spent an inordinate amount of time trying to dig up information about Sarah Palin during the 2008 campaign and she was only running for Vice President. It’s a safe bet that the media didn’t spend half the time digging up information about Obama as they did Palin during 2008.

This is an excellent case of media bias. They spend time digging up dirt on Republican candidates while ignoring the past of Democrat candidates. In 2008 Americans voted for Obama without really knowing who he was. Had the media dug around a little bit and found this pamphlet wherein Obama’s own agent says he was born in Kenya, would he have even been elected? If they really dug around his past and really reported about Marshall Davis mentoring Obama, would he have been elected? There’s all sorts of information out there about Obama now, largely coming from conservative media outlets. But it’s too late now, he’s already President. The media didn’t do their job in 2008. Or in the alternative they did do their job, they didn’t tell the American people the truth about Obama.

Attacks On Palin Expose Leftist Hatred Of Thinking Women

HBO recently premiered a movie about Sarah Palin called Game Change. It more or less mocks Palin, showing her on the verge of a nervous breakdown among other things. The left hates Palin so a movie like this isn’t surprising in the least. John McCain is surprised though. He can’t figure out why the left continues to disparage and attack Palin. And we wonder why this guy didn’t win. Once again McCain shows us he simply doesn’t get what the left is up to.

The message the left is sending with their attacks on Sarah Palin is very loud and very clear. If you are a conservative woman don’t you dare run for high office because we will attack you without mercy. It matter if the attacks aren’t true, the left is making it very clear they will not tolerate a female Republican running for President or Vice President. In fact, they barely tolerate female Republicans at all, especially if they’re conservatives. Palin has suffered the worst attacks but Michele Bachmann was also ruthlessly attacked when she became the GOP frontrunner for a month or two over the summer.

The left views these women as heretics to the left-wing cause. They view these women as voters against their own interests. Because in their mind the default pro-woman position is the left-wing position. Anything else would be a vote against interest. It’s a nice little scam they’ve set up for themselves. Sarah Palin threatens the default position because she offers a pro-female viewpoint that is the polar opposite of the left. As such the left feels compelled to savage her, even long after she’s run for high public office. Or any office for that matter.

The worst part of the left-wing attack machine is that they’re doing exactly that which they allege men do. They  have long accused men of demeaning women and calling into doubt the intelligence of females. All of the attacks on Palin have to do with her intelligence. She’s constantly portrayed as an idiot, a simpleton and a moron. The left spent the 2008 campaign portraying her as unintelligent and they’ve spent the last four years continuing on with the attacks. The left has gone so far as to pretend like a joke made on SNL was actually said by Palin.

To a lesser extent they’ve done this to Michele Bachmann. Had she won the GOP nomination, you can bet the attacks on Bachmann’s intelligence would have been ramped up by 100. The left has done the same thing to black conservatives, attacking Herman Cain and Clarence Thomas as the stereotypical sex obsessed black man who is a threat to white women everywhere. Cain and Thomas are heretics to the left-wing cause. Blacks aren’t allowed to oppose the left, just like the women.

Palin and Bachmann aren’t going to be silenced so easily. The left knows this. They know conservatives will rally behind Palin in particular. Completely destroying Palin is only a secondary part of their goal. Their goal is to silence conservative women. They know that their ruthless attacks on Sarah Palin will have a chilling effect on other conservative women. As such they hope that fewer conservative women will run for office, thus limiting the number who can run for high office.

These are the goals of the self proclaimed champions of women. If you disagree with them, they’ll ruthlessly attack you as a dumb woman on the verge of a hysterical hormonal breakdown. At the same time they have the audacity to claim Republicans hate women. The left is afraid of strong conservative women, their ruthless attacks on Palin four years after she spent two months running for Vice President prove it. The message to all other women is clear, don’t think for yourself. If you do and if you run for office, we will attack your intelligence and everything else about you whether its true or not. Truth matters not to the left, only the outcome matters.

GOP Needs To Nominate An Accomplished Conservative

Sarah Palin is threatening to enter the GOP Presidential race. She recently declared it isn’t to late to enter. Never mind that she couldn’t get on the early state ballots because it’s to late. Never mind that she would struggle to get enough signatures in any number of states in such a short period of time. Interestingly if she was able to get on the ballot she would probably do very well. On some level Republicans are tired of the current candidates. Palin would be the new flavor of the month but she would come in as the lasting, final flavor. But let’s face it, it’s far to late for Palin to organize a real campaign.

Newt appears to have lost ground in Iowa. Allegedly Ron Paul has a slight lead, but outside of Iowa Paul doesn’t have enough support to take a serious shot at the nomination. Barring a sudden surprise from Santorum, Perry or Bachmann, this is a race between Newt and Romney. To this day, Romney can’t get above the 20-25% range among GOP voters. Newt shot up and is down now, much like the other flavors of the month.

Conservatives need to ask themselves what accomplishments Newt and Romney have that served our conservative outlook. It’s easy to attack Newt over his consulting gig at Freddie and it’s easy to praise Romney for turning around the Olympics or for some of his business success. But all of that says nothing about their accomplishments in government. After all, we are trying to elect these people to a high government office. You would think their achievements in the world of politics matter.

Newt orchestrated the 1994 Republican takeover of the House. This was the first Republican House victory in 40 years. While Speaker he passed the first balanced budget in generations. He also oversaw a massive welfare reform package, the first conservative reform of welfare ever. All of this was done with a fairly hostile Democrat sitting in the White House.

What are Mitt Romney’s conservative accomplishments while Governor of Massachusetts? Surely Romneycare isn’t a conservative accomplishment. He doesn’t appear to have cut spending in his state. He has some trivial tax cuts to his credit but otherwise he doesn’t really have any conservative accomplishments. Which shouldn’t be surprising since he ran as a progressive Republican.

Romney is a johnny come lately to the conservative cause. Even if we accept that he is sincere in his miraculous swing to the right, he doesn’t have any governmental accomplishments under his belt. Surely we Republicans would prefer to have a Presidential candidate who has actually done something for the conservative cause while he or she was in government. Newt has those accomplishments, in fact none of the other candidates come close. Santorum, Perry and Bachmann also have a handful of accomplishments for the conservative cause on their resume. Mitt Romney doesn’t have any.

If the choice is between Newt Gingrich and Mitt Romney, it seems pretty clear to me that conservatives ought to be voting for Newt. Newt has baggage, there’s no doubt about that. The Freddie Mac consulting isn’t as big a deal as some make it out to be but it’s still disturbing. But does that take away from orchestrating a GOP takeover of the House, a balanced budget and welfare reform? Does consulting for Freddie Mac suddenly make Mitt Romney an accomplished conservative?

I’m not endorsing any candidate in the GOP primaries. But there are candidates that are to be preferred over others. We Republicans need to nominate a conservative, preferably one with some accomplishments. Surely Newt fits that bill while Romney does not. Others could fit that bill as well, all over Mitt Romney. We should not settle for Mitt Romney based on Newt’s alleged negatives. If we do, we’ll find that in the long run Romney’s negatives will far outweigh Newt’s consulting job.

Bias Media Refuses To Link White House Shooter With OWS

Oscar Ortega-Hernandez is alleged to have fired two bullets at the White House late last week. Ortega was also allegedly hanging around the Occupy Wall Street gang in DC before he shot at the White House. It appears that he has no actual affiliation with them, yet he was apparently mingling with them. What makes Ortega’s connection with OWS so interesting is that the mainstream press is completely ignoring it.

That is in stark contrast to Jared Loughner, the savage who shot Rep. Gabrielle Giffords. Loughner had no political affiliations yet the mainstream press spent the better part of a week decrying “violent” right-wing rhetoric. The mainstream press spent a week attacking the Tea Party as violent, Sarah Palin in particular. In fact just this week Diane Sawyer continued link Palin to the shooting by pointing out the fact that Palin “targeted” Giffords for defeat during the 2010 election.

So where is the media outrage over the violent rhetoric coming out of the OWS crowd? Why isn’t the press linking violent OWS rhetoric with Ortega? You can bet that if Ortega has hanging out at a Tea Party rally shortly before shooting at the White House the media would demand that the Tea Party be forcibly disbanded by the government. Yet OWS is never mentioned by the mainstream press, no connection between Ortega and OWS is ever discussed.

Ortega in fact has more of a connection to OWS than Loughner did to the Tea Party. Ortega at least was seen hanging around the OWS hanging around DC. Loughner had never been to a Tea Party event and was a political dissenter who hated everyone. Make no mistake, both of these guys are wicked criminals who need to be locked up for a long time. But the media treatment of both incidents shows off their massive left-wing bias.

After the Giffords shooting the media went on for a week, showing clip after clip of allegedly violent Tea Party statements. Most of the statements had nothing to do with violence and were little more than analogies. Nevertheless, where are the examples of OWS violent rhetoric? In fact, why isn’t the media talking about actual violence at OWS? There have been two murders, a rape, multiple sexual assaults, countless theft crimes etc. Over 3,000 have been arrested. OWS is allegedly having a “Day of Action” in New York today wherein they will attempt to shut down Wall Street. One OWS protester threatened to throw molotov cocktails into Macy’s.

So where is the mainstream press on all of this? They’re silent. They haven’t reported on the violence at OWS and when they have they’ve blamed the police. They don’t show videos of violent rhetoric coming from OWS, they don’t keep an arrest tally and they don’t comment on the murder, rape and general mayhem. They also haven’t rushed to judgment by accusing Ortega of being part of OWS. Yet they did rush to blame the Tea Party for Jared Loughner.

It’s as simple as this, the mainstream press is left-wing. They agree with OWS and so they report it in the most positive light. They disagree with the Tea Party so they paint it in the most negative light possible. A Congressman is shot and it must be the fault of the Tea Party. A nut hangs out with OWS and shoots at the White House, the media doesn’t make the connection between the two. It all begs the question why left-wing media bias is even up for debate.

Media Attacks Conservative Women and Blacks

The media sharks are out on the prowl against another conservative woman. Having relentlessly attacked Sarah Palin for two years the media is now focusing on Michelle Bachmann. The left has long feared a Palin candidacy because they know she can win, likely taking with her a good portion of women who would otherwise vote for the Democrat candidate. Having disposed of Palin (for the time being), now they’re concerned about Bachmann, who has the potential to do the same thing.

Mrs. Bachmann screwed up the birthplace of John Wayne citing Waterloo Iowa as his birthplace. Waterloo is the birthplace of serial killer John Wayne Gacy. For that the media believes she’s a moron. Of course, everyone in the media knows the birthplace of Wayne and Gacy off the top of their heads. It’s fairly clear that Bachmann’s staff screwed up and fed her the wrong information. But that doesn’t matter, the narrative is that she’s a moron. Interestingly when candidate Obama said he had been to 57 states, the media ignored it or chalked it up to a misspeak. The media never does that for Republicans and certainly not for conservative women.

Chris Wallace of Fox News asked Mrs. Bachmann if she was a flake last Sunday. Proof positive that Fox News isn’t a conservative or Republican news outlet. Can you imagine a journalist asking that question of any Democrat, much less a female Democrat? Bachmann’s answer was excellent, she noted the insulting nature of the question and then declared herself a serious candidate. But the media narrative is clear, they’re going to paint her as a flake, a nut and a moron because they fear a conservative woman winning the GOP nomination.

The media attacks aren’t limited to conservative women. They’re also aimed at conservative blacks. Liberal darling Jon Stewart savagely attacked GOP Presidential candidate Herman Cain using an Amos and Andy voice. (as a side note I inherited my grandmother’s record collection which includes a record of Amos and Andy titled “Is you is or is you ain’t a Republican.” They’re discussing the 1924 election and decide to vote for conservative Republican Calvin Coolidge) The media response was near silence. Can you imagine the media response to a conservative mocking Obama with an Amos and Andy voice or in some other racially insensitive manner? The rage on the left would be uncontrollable yet when a white liberal attacks a black conservative in the same manner there is silence. Their silence is approval.

Liberal media attacks on white, male candidates during this primary season have almost been non existent. All of the candidates have made mistakes on the campaign trail, yet the media isn’t interested in the white men who make mistakes. They’re only interested in the women and the blacks who make mistakes. Why?

If this were the general election you can bet the left-wing mainstream press would mercilessly attack a white male Republican, as we have seen over and over again through the years. But during the primary the media views itself as a gatekeeper. Christiane Amanpour lamented after Bush was nominated in 2000 ‘how did we (the media) let this man get nominated.’ The media views itself as a gatekeeper for the Democrats. In 2012 the worst thing that can happen is that a woman or a black man gets the GOP nomination. Why? Because a woman will syphon off female voters from Obama and a black candidate will syphon off black voters. Obama cannot afford to lose 10% of women or 20% of blacks if he wants to win re-election.

The media is responding as we would expect them to do. They’re savagely attacking both women who have a shot at the nomination: Bachmann and Palin. They’re ignoring racist attacks lobbed at Herman Cain. Meanwhile they’re not reporting on any gaffes, inconsistencies or outright lies from any of the white men running. They’re saving those attacks for next fall. The left needs to kill off the women and the black guy now so that they can’t threaten Obama in in November 2012. Equality only matters if you’re a liberal. If you’re a conservative equality of sex and race doesn’t apply.

Ruthless Left-Wing Press Seeks To Destroy Sarah Palin

The media freak out over Sarah Palin continues. In fact, it’s really not a freak out but a coordinated destruction attempt. Over Memorial Day weekend the media whined and complained because Mrs. Palin’s didn’t give them the itinerary for her bus tour to nowhere. Now the media sharks are chomping at the bit over a statement made about Paul Revere which may or may not be true. The sharks are now circling over 24,000 pages worth of emails from Palin’s time as Governor of Alaska. Sane people are left wondering why the media cares so much about a woman who isn’t even running for office. Conservatives are left wishing the media would spend this much time scrutinizing Mitt Romney.

Sarah Palin made a few comments about Paul Revere warning the British during his famous ride. She’s technically right as Revere had been captured by the British and informed them of troop movements. But whether Mrs. Palin is right or wrong is really irrelevant to this issue. NBC Nightly News spent three nights discussing Mrs. Palin’s statement. Countless other media outlets obsessed over her comments for days on end as well. Mind you these are media outlets that either ignored or wrote off as harmless Obama’s declaration that he had been to 57 states during the 2008 campaign. Mrs. Palin isn’t running for office, so why exactly does the media care whether she got the Paul Revere story right or wrong? Even if she ends up running for President, why are they so focused on Sarah Palin as opposed to any of the other GOP candidates?

Yesterday Alaska released thousands of pages worth of emails Palin had sent as Governor of the state. The Washington Post asked readers to help them sift through the emails to dig up dirt. Some 30+ journalists went through the emails themselves yesterday, all looking for dirt. So far the worst they can come up with is that she used the term “sheesh” in one of her emails.

The emails are public record and I don’t have a problem with a FOIA request seeking them. What I have a problem with is the entire media salivating over the emails, desperate to find the smoking gun that will ultimately destroy Sarah Palin. Make no mistake, that is the goal here. Anything short of the total destruction of Sarah Palin would be a failure as far as these left-wing journalists are concerned.

The media wants to destroy this woman, why ought to be pretty obvious to any conservative. Much like black conservatives are ruthlessly attacked by the left-wing media (see: Clarence Thomas) so are conservative women. Sarah Palin happens to be the most prominent conservative woman out there and she’s the greatest threat to run for President and win. When and if Michelle Bachmann ever becomes a serious Presidential contender, the media will ruthlessly attack everything about her from her clothes, to her children to every statement she’s ever made. Like black conservatives and black Republicans, the left-wing media considers conservative women traitors to the cause. You see, like blacks, women are only allowed to hold one viewpoint and any deviation from orthodoxy is cause for ruthless attack.

The media fears Sarah Palin. They fear her ability to win the White House. That’s why they’re attacking her without mercy. How can these people pretend to be unbiased when they spend three days discussing an offhand remark about Paul Revere? How can they pretend to be unbiased when they gleefully ask readers to help them comb through 24,000 pages of emails from a former Governor of Alaska? They’re looking to destroy this woman because they fear her and they loathe her. She doesn’t worship at their feet, she doesn’t grovel to them and she has a connection with the American people that the fearful left-wing media doesn’t understand. While I still hope Palin doesn’t run for President, these outrageous attempts to destroy her by the media almost get me to the point where I hope she runs and wins just to spite them.

Double Dip Recession Is Here; Media Whines About Palin

The economy remains the number one concern for most Americans. The job report for April seemed to indicate at least a little bit of a pick up in the economy. However, the May report isn’t going to be nearly as rosy. The private sector only added 38,000 jobs last month, substantially lower than the estimate of 175,000. Planned job cuts are up as well, eating away at nearly all of the job gains in May. The Government is expected to announce larger job increases but even there numbers fall substantially short of April’s gains. Manufacturing continues to slow.

It is clear that the Obama administration’s economic policy has been a failure. His command and control from the top has not stimulated private sector economic growth. The Stimulus package passed in 2009 completely failed to stimulate the economy. The administration’s Wall Street regulations have done nothing to protect American investors and have accomplished little more than slowing the economy. Obamacare has caused health insurance to skyrocket in price, many policies cost 20-30% more this year because of Obamacare regulations. That is up substantially from previous price increases.

Meanwhile at the direction of the administration the Federal Reserve is preparing for a third major printing of new money. Printing more money means the value of the dollar goes down, which means we can purchase less with the dollars we currently have. As a result oil is up over $100 again and gas prices are once again on the rise after a minor decrease over the last couple weeks. It seems clear that thanks to inflation and Fed money printing, high gas and food prices are here to stay. Leftists no doubt rejoice over these facts, the rest of us are left scrambling to feed our families and put gas in the tank.

The double dip recession that so many have talked about over the last year seems to be coming true. With a Presidential election coming up next year, we shouldn’t expect the mainstream media to talk much about the double dip recession under Obama’s watch. The media is to busy whining about not knowing where Sarah Palin’s next stop is (no kidding, the media claims that Palin not telling them where she’s going is “dangerous“) and accusing her of committing ghastly Federal crimes against the flag (no kidding again, MSNBC apparently believes she’s a Federal flag criminal) to report on the dire situation our economy is in. In ignoring the economy, the media is giving the President a pass while Americans struggle to make ends meet.

The left-wing press has spent the last two years calling Mrs. Palin a media whore, now they’re whining when she ignores them and won’t tell them where her next appearance is. While it’s amusing to watch, it isn’t really news. Especially so when the economy is falling apart. Mrs. Palin isn’t yet a Presidential candidate, when she becomes one then maybe it will matter which tourist attraction she’s at. Until then, it’s absurd to watch the media spend an inordinate amount of time on the Sarah Palin bus tour to nowhere. Americans are struggling to buy food, we have become, as Newt Gingrich noted, a food stamp nation under Obama. Gas has settled above $100/barrel and jobs aren’t being created by the private sector. Unemployment remains high. These are important issues, a former Alaskan Governor’s trip to the Statue of Liberty isn’t all that important in comparison.

President Obama has been an economic failure for the middle class. Food prices are up substantially, gas prices have more than doubled since he took office. Inflation is making the value of our hard earned dollars evaporate. Meanwhile the Federal debt  is over $14 trillion and we have a yearly deficit of over $1 trillion. Our nation cannot afford more of President Obama and his failed left-wing policies.

Media Freaks Out Over Sarah Palin’s Bus Tour To Nowhere

Sarah Palin has spent the last couple of days annoying the media with a seemingly endless bus tour to nowhere. Mrs. Palin has been taking her bus tour, unannounced, to various national historical sites such as Mt. Vernon and various DC monuments. The fact that there is no announced schedule and no purpose is confounding the media. Where she will show up next is anyone’s guess. Whether she’s running for President or not is open to speculation, which is probably what Mrs. Palin wants.

It’s enjoyable watching the media chase Mrs. Palin around and endlessly complain about her unconventional ways. If Mrs. Palin’s sole purpose in organizing this bus tour is to annoy the media, count me as a major supporter. But the fact is she isn’t just annoying the news media. She’s annoying the Republican Party as well as her potential base of supporters. If she isn’t running for President then she doesn’t owe a courtesy call the local party of each place she’s planning on visiting. But if she is running for President, why would she deny the local party and her local supporters the chance to meet her? This is the last group of people a Presidential candidate would want to annoy.

Not only is Mrs. Palin denying local supporters a chance to meet her or hear her speak, because there is no schedule for her bus tour, wild speculation about her next stop has come into play. Palin supporters gathered in Gettysburg believing that was the next stop on her tour. Those supporters left disappointed when she  never showed up. Rumor has it she’s planning on visiting the Liberty Bell. Whether she visits the bell or not remains to be seen, no doubt some of Mrs. Palin’s supporters will camp out there waiting to see if she arrives. If I were one of her supporters and spent all day waiting around for her, I would be less a supporter after having played the fool fruitlessly waiting around all day

No doubt this bus tour is unconventional and borderline bizarre. What is it about Sarah Palin that causes the entire media to follow her around and obsess over her every move? What is it about Mrs. Palin that causes an uproar in the entire Republican Party? There is no doubt that the left hates this woman, largely because they fear her ability to attract voters and win. Within the GOP, her unconventional ways ruffle a lot of feathers and she is, for better or worse, very much a Beltway outsider. Her strange and seemingly pointless bus tour to nowhere is likely causing panic in the Romney camp. Palin seems at this point the only potential candidate who can stop a Romney nomination.

My guess is that the bus tour to nowhere will end in Palin announcing one way or the other her intentions concerning the 2012 election. If Mrs. Palin is able to generate buzz and attract crowds despite not announcing any of her destinations, I think she takes that as a sign that she has to run for President. If her bus tour fizzles out I think she walks away declaring she was never running for President in the first place. In the meantime it ought to be fun watching the media drum up rumors about her next stop and generally act like teenage girls trying to discover the whereabouts of Justin Bieber. If this is the purpose of Mrs. Palin’s bus tour to nowhere, it has been a wild success.
