In 20 Years Guns Double, Gun Crime Down 70%

In the last twenty years the number of privately owned guns in the United States has roughly doubled. There are approximately 300 million privately held firearms in our nation today. Millions more are being purchased every month as Americans fear gun control regulations will limit their second amendment rights. If one were to listen to the hysterical Democrats and their surrogates in the media, one would think the doubling of guns in this country would equal a massive increase in the number of murders and other violent felonies. In fact 50% of the country thinks violent crime has increased over the last twenty years. In fact, it’s decreased dramatically.

In the last twenty years murders are down almost 40%. Gun murders are down almost 50%. Violent crimes involving guns are down around 70%. These are dramatic decreases in violent crimes committed with guns and yet our nation roughly doubled the number of privately held guns. How can it be that a nation which doubled its guns saw crime drop so much? Obviously there are a lot of factors in the decrease in the number of violent crimes committed. One of them undoubtedly is that a significant number of potential violent criminals are fearful that a potential victim is carrying a gun. That fear is a significant deterrent.

These numbers aren’t exactly surprising to those who believe in a robust second amendment. Since 1960 all of the mass public shootings in the US but one took place at a location where firearms were banned. You could probably throw in most of the European mass public shootings as well, they have these events just as much as we do despite severe firearm restrictions. When potential criminals aren’t afraid of their victims being able to defend themselves, they’re emboldened to commit crimes. There’s a reason why mass public shootings happen at government schools and movie theaters and malls which ban guns but not at NRA conventions.

In the 90′s it was popular for European visitors in Florida to put a NRA sticker on their rental car or wear a NRA hat. At the time, European travelers were targeted by criminals for muggings and car jackings because they were vulnerable targets. The NRA paraphernalia warded off potential attackers who were afraid these people might be packing a firearm. That they were not doesn’t really matter, it’s the fear a criminal has that is important. If a criminal fears violent retaliation they’re less likely to engage in a criminal act.

Yet the Democrats want to restrict access to firearms in this country. They want to ban certain kinds of guns and ban certain kinds of magazines or clips. They want to make it more difficult for law abiding citizens to obtain a firearm. Yet all of the evidence available to us indicates that more firearms aids in having less crime. We’ve doubled our guns in the United States and at the same time violent crime with a gun is down 70% and murders with a gun are down 50%. We have 300 million guns in the hands of private citizens, the government isn’t going to be able to confiscate all of these weapons. Rather than trying to restrict access to more firearms, we would be better off allowing American citizens to exercise their gun rights. Would it shock anyone if crime dropped as a result? Probably only Democrats.

Obama’s Absurd Mexican Trip

President Obama is down in Mexico campaigning for immigration reform. The President apparently is interested in reaching future Democrat voters before the Republicans have an opportunity to learn Spanish. That only 56% of the illegals in the United States are Mexicans is no deterrent for this President. The President ought to be concerned about his immigration reform bill. Public support has dropped for comprehensive immigration reform in the wake of the Boston Marathon Bombing. That should hardly be a surprise considering that the bombers were legal immigrants. If we can’t properly keep tabs on people here legally, common sense Americans wonder why the government is going to legalize millions who we don’t know.

Obama’s immigration reform push isn’t even the highlight of his Mexico trip. It’s no secret that Mexico has a massive problem with drug cartel violence. So of course Obama blamed American guns for the gun violence in Mexico. The President never stopped to think for a second that it was his administration that came up with the Fast and Furious program which ran illegal weapons into Mexico resulting in hundreds of Mexican deaths. Surely Obama can recall that his Attorney General, Eric Holder, was found in Contempt of Congress for his refusal to be forthcoming in the Congressional investigation. Yet he said it anyway, likely figuring Mexicans know nothing about our government’s gun running in their country.

American guns are not why Mexican drug cartels are killing each other and turning Mexico into a violent cesspool. That doesn’t mean American law and policy isn’t a contributing factor though. Our drug laws create the demand for illegal drugs which is met, in part, by Mexican drug cartels delivering guns between South American and here. But for our drug laws, the violence in Mexico would be nowhere near what it is right now. You could probably say the same for the cities of our country as well, after all most of the violence in the cites are caused by gangs which fight for drug selling position on the streets.

For any President to go abroad and campaign for domestic laws is cheap and tawdry. It’s even worse when a President attacks his own country and its policies while visiting a foreign nation. We shouldn’t be surprised that Obama is doing this, he’s in his fifth year of attacking the United States abroad. It’s been his goal to knock the US down to size and reduce our power and prestige abroad. He’s been successful, foreigners hate us even more under Obama than they did under Bush. It serves the interests of the United States not in the least for the President to campaign for gun control and immigration reform abroad. Such only serves Obama’s interest in demonizing America and campaigning for future Democrats.

Maybe the Mexicans will listen to Obama because Americans sure aren’t anymore. His approval ratings have tanked and he can’t get anything passed in Congress. Few cared about his most recent press conference and those that did were more interested in his threat to leave and go home, thus channeling Clinton in 1995. With no one listening, the prospects of winning any political battles diminishing by the day and the odds of the Dems winning the House next year looking increasingly dim, no wonder Obama wants to campaign to foreigners. They haven’t tuned him out yet.

Massive DHS Ammo Stockpiles A Form Of Gun Control

The Department of Homeland Security has around 70,000 agents and goes through between 1300-1600 rounds of ammunition per officer. This according to DHS procurement officer Nick Nayak. Keep in mind the Army goes through around 350 rounds of ammo per officer each year. One first might wonder why DHS goes through so much more ammo than the Army. One might also wonder why the bulk of their supposed training needs to be done with expensive hollow point bullets. Nayak confirms that the five year purchasing of bullets by DHS would amount to 750 million bullets. Less than the 1.6 million reported by Drudge but hardly a small amount. DHS purchasing is probably somewhere between what Nayak said and what has been reported.

There has been a run on guns and on ammo in the last year or two. Ammo in particular has been difficult to come by. It’s becoming increasingly clear that one form of gun control this administration is taking is the purchase of large amounts of ammunition. By making ammo difficult to come by, it decreases the amount of guns purchased and the amount of damage a gun can do. If a gun has no bullets, it’s useless to a potential user. In the least this is what their thinking is. That Obama has scared Americans into thinking guns are going to be heavily controlled, which has resulted in their purchase with or without bullets has been an unintended consequence of his gun control push.

It isn’t just DHS that’s making absurd purchases of ammunition. The Social Security Administration recently made a large purchase of ammunition. Why does the SSA need a large stockpile of expensive ammunition? It doesn’t of course but that’s not the point. The administration is spreading out these purchases throughout government so as to not draw attention to what they’re doing. It’s largely gone unnoticed. The only people talking about it are on the right, the mainstream press hasn’t reported any of this. With the “enemy” marginalized by lack of media coverage, most of the country has no idea what the administration is doing.

Obama didn’t touch the gun control issue before the last election. He didn’t need to because his government was buying ammunition in absurd levels, thus creating nationwide bullet shortages. The left has been threatening for years to tax or otherwise control ammunition sales. The Obama administration did just that without engaging in a messy, losing battle with Congress. All they had to do was make ridiculous purchases with tax money thus creating a shortage which results in the control the left wants. This happened long before Obama’s gun control push after the Newtown shooting.

Congress is just figuring out that Obama’s gun control push didn’t begin in December, it began when he took office. As such, the House ought to consider refusing to fund ammo purchases for various government agencies. The purse strings are controlled by Congress. Rather than handing off a lump sum to DHS and other agencies to spend as they see fit, the House should specifically ban the purchase of ammunition by government agencies or limit how many rounds may be purchased. This would kill Obama’s ammunition control push and allow the market to recover from these absurd and unnecessary purchases by the government. If the Republicans are going to make a stand for gun rights, they also need to make a stand for the right to access ammunition without government interference.

Boy Scouts Overturn Ban On Homosexual Scouts

In a week when the attempted poisoning of the President by an Elvis impersonating letter mailer barely registers on the news radar, it’s hardly a surprise that the Boy Scouts big announcement was ignored. The Scouts are reversing a long standing policy on homosexuals. They will allow homosexual scouts while continuing the ban on homosexual adult scout leaders. Is there any doubt they’ll reverse the adult ban within a few years? It’s been amazing to watch this happen. The progressives targeted the Boy Scouts and now suddenly a once core belief is being tossed aside. At this point it’s obvious the Scouts no longer have core beliefs of any sort.

The Boy Scouts allowed themselves to be pressured into making changes. Make no mistake, they were organized against. Progressives entered at the local level with the sole intent on forcing changes from above. It was coordinated and it was successful because the Scouts were unprepared for such an assault. A once Christian organization, teaching Christian values to young men now cannot call itself Christian. The end result will be the destruction of the organization as conservative families leave only to not be replaced with liberal families unless they have some sort of agenda they have to continue pushing.

Once again, the right has proven they don’t understand how the left operates. We sit back in wonder as society comes to accept the unseemly acts homosexuals engage in. Meanwhile the government schools have targeted children on this subject for nearly 20 years. The Boy Scouts were a target even before their successful lawsuit which allowed them to ban homosexuals. They were an easy target, it’s easy to gain entry into leadership where change can quietly be achieved. We conservatives sit back and do nothing thinking that because we on a lawsuit everything will be fine only to wake up in horror a decade later to discover the homosexuals infiltrated the Boy Scouts and reversed the policy.

What fools we are. The left has done this repeatedly and we still haven’t learned our lesson. If they can’t win at the Court, they’ll target your kids and make their changes in the future. The left has done this for the better part of a century and we conservatives never seem to catch on. We think we’re winning the gun control battle because the Senate couldn’t pass Obama’s bill but we’re losing. Why? Because at government schools all over the country progressive “educators” are teaching children guns are dangerous and the people who use them are evil and thus they need to be controlled. If you think leftists aren’t trying to infiltrate pro-gun organizations like the NRA, you’re out of your mind.

The Boy Scouts have no core values anymore. As such Christians should have no part in the organization. We have to create our own scouting organizations, whether they’re affiliated with our churches or connected nationally. It’s unfortunate, the Boy Scouts have been a good and decent organization teaching Christian life skills to millions of boys. By overturning the ban on homosexual scouts, the organization told all of us it has no core values. If they’re willing to change on this value, a core belief just a decade ago, what other “core” beliefs will they give up? How long before the Boy Scouts start promoting homosexual activity like the Girl Scouts? My boys won’t be in the organization to find out.

Gun Control Defeated, Obama Pitches Hissy Fit

Yesterday the Senate defeated Obama’s gun control effort. The Toomey-Manchin bill failed 54-46, the GOP bill failed 48-52 and Feinstein’s assault weapons ban failed 40-60. (60 votes were required to end debate) The Democrats couldn’t even keep their caucus in order as five voted against various Obama supported provisions. The left is enraged, insisting that 90% of the country supports increased background checks even though Gallup reports that only 4% even care about gun control as a top issue. All of the attempts at emotional manipulation, trotting out grieving families and such, none of it worked. Turning the NRA into an arch enemy didn’t work. What’s more, the public either supports the Senate’s action yesterday or they’re largely indifferent.

Obama is none to pleased. He had another one of his hissy fit press conferences wherein he attempted to demonize everyone who disagrees with him. According to Obama, gun control was defeated because the other side is a bunch of “willful liars.” This would have to be the case, after all doesn’t everyone believe the “enemy” willfully lies? It really doesn’t matter who the enemy happens to be, he’s always a liar. As such, it was hardly surprising when Obama accused his opponents of being willful liars. What’s interesting is that he has to accuse members of his own caucus of being liars or at least dumb enough to be taken by liars.

In the alternative, this result was highly predictable. Obama’s gun control efforts were always doomed to failure. He tried to take advantage of a crisis (Newtown) without the country really believing we were in crisis mode. He proposed a bill that had no chance of passing either chamber in Congress because it was too extreme and went too far, especially for red state Democrats. He didn’t have public support behind him, largely because the country is weary of gun control as a big ticket bill even if they support some individual measures. Then in defeat, as usual, Obama attacked his opponents, took his marbles home and vowed this was only round one.

Like Bush in 2005, Obama picked the wrong issue to kick off his second term. Gun control has never been popular on a national level, it was a mistake to shift focus to it in an overreaction to the Newtown tragedy. Obama may have made a bigger error though. The public seems very weary of large comprehensive bills. There’s been a reaction against large bills such as the Stimulus and Obamacare. The public seems to not trust these large, 2,000 page bills with dozens of provisions and multiple purposes. Obama may have been able to rally support for one portion of his gun control bill. He should have offered that as a stand alone bill. He could have won. Instead he went for the home run and got nothing.

Going forward Congress is going to be debating immigration reform in the next few weeks. The so-called Gang of Eight proposal is hundreds of pages long, so is Obama’s proposal. They contain multiple purposes, and dozens of hidden provisions. If Obama and the Democrats are smart, they’ll offer each of their main proposals as stand alone bills. The public is much more likely to go along with a handful of small bills than one large bill that everyone can turn into something awful and worth opposing. You get the feeling though that this is a lesson Obama doesn’t want to learn. He wants to lose so he can rally Democrats for the 2014 campaign. His press conference temper tantrum was the kickoff for the 2014 campaign. He’ll only get worse before the election.

Gun Control A Matter Of Freedom VS Slavery

It looks like Obama’s gun control bill is going to be up for a vote today in the Senate. Whether it will pass or not isn’t clear at this point. Sen. Harry Reid has acknowledged that he doesn’t have the votes, though he claims the winds are shifting in his general direction. The Toomey-Manchin proposal, which would close a loophole concerning internet gun sales which really doesn’t exist, hasn’t seen the widespread support the two of them initially thought it would. While the press is making a big deal out of the Senate vote, it’s worth nothing that unless Speaker Boehner wants to lose his job this issue won’t even come to a vote in the House.

It’s been rich watching the administration the past week or so. They’ve been using the families of Newtown victims as props in their push for gun control that would have done nothing to prevent the Newtown crime. The nation was subjected to a weepy mother during Obama’s weekly radio address. If the nation is swayed by an illogical, emotional response from a grieving mother than there is no hope for our nation’s future. It is foolhardy to have public policy dictated by emotion. The fact is, nothing in the proposed bill would do anything to prevent Newtown. Joe Biden even acknowledges this.

According to Obama, Congress shouldn’t “defy” the American people by shooting down gun control. It’s funny, Obama wasn’t worried about defying the American people when he forced through Obamacare against the nation’s will. In his world only the “enemy” (read: Republicans) can defy the American people. Obama was just doing what’s good for us when he forced through Obamacare against the people’s wishes. Obama was punished, harshly, by defying the American people. He got his Obamacare but he lost the House, probably for good. The GOP risks more by defying their constituents, which overwhelmingly support opposition to gun control.

Gun control zealot Nanny Bloomberg believes there’s something wrong with your family if you sell a gun to your kid. Apparently one can get around just about any background check by buying a gun on behalf of a family member then selling it to them. Maybe Bloomberg’s dad simply gave him everything in life, in the real world family members buy and sell between themselves all the time. There must be something wrong with you if you sell a gun to one of your kids for $100. What exactly is wrong isn’t clear. It’s also not clear if there’s something wrong with you if you sell a car, house or computer to your kid. This is a typical left-wing tactic, criticizing family and trying to tear it down and apart. There must be something wrong with these families, we should submit to the collective.

Gun confiscation is the goal here, it’s already happening in New York. The goal is a national gun registry, then they’ll create regulations which ban the ownership of guns for just about everyone. Guns equal control. If the people cannot legally own guns, government will be in full control over every aspect of our lives. If we have the freedom to own guns, government can and is kept at bay, however minimally. The government wants us to be completely dependant on them for security. We need only look at cities like Chicago and Detroit, which have strict gun control, to see that the state isn’t capable of providing us individual security. (interestingly cities like Houston, which has fairly lax gun control, have less crime) If we want to be dependant and controlled, we’ll support gun control. If we want to be independent and free, we’ll oppose it.

Obama Loses Gun Control Debate, We Will Lose In The Long Run

President Obama is using the families of Newtown victims as props as he pushes for gun control legislation that has little to no chance of passing Congress. Amusingly Obama has the audacity to accuse the GOP of engaging in “stunts” concerning gun control. In the world of Obama parading around the families of child victims of a tragedy isn’t a stunt. Stunts are apparently reserved for those evil Republicans. So are politics. Obama doesn’t play politics, he’s for common sense reform. It’s only those evil Republicans who engage in politics. Obama knows he’s losing this debate, his tone is getting increasingly shrill as a result.

In his recent gun control rally Obama said he wants to “make it a little harder for our kids to get gunned down.” In other words, your kids are going to get gunned down but in his love and benevolence Obama is going to make it a wee bit harder for those nasty gunmen to gun down  your kids. Never mind that nothing in these new laws would have done anything to stop Adam Lanza or any of the mass public shooters of the last half century. Obama’s proposals don’t even focus on the real problem: Antipsychotic drugs. Instead of focusing on real issues, Obama is playing a typical left-wing political game by attacking gun rights.

Obama has almost no chance of passing gun control legislation through Congress. Even if he is able to defeat a filibuster in the Senate, it’s highly unlikely the House will vote on Obama’s legislation. The country generally opposes assault weapons bans, they oppose increased background checks and they oppose limits on magazines and clips. Obama must know this by now, which is why he’s getting more shrill and why he’s parading the families of victims on Air Force One while at the same time accusing opponents of engaging in stunts and politics. He’s losing and he knows it.

Make no mistake though the progressive left believes it will win in the long run. Obama might lose this issue now but in 10-15 years the progressive left has a recipe for victory on gun control. It’s the same plan they used on the homosexual marriage issue. They’re going to focus on the nation’s children at the government schools. The best way to dictate future policy is to get at the little minds of mush in the education system today. As such schools are teaching children guns are scary and dangerous. They’re denying that Americans have a second amendment right to keep and bear arms. They’re teaching kids that those who support gun rights are dangerous fanatics. The goal is to convince the next generation that guns are dangerous and gun control is vitally necessary. The schools are setting up legislation for a decade or two from now, just like they did with homosexual marriage.

Obama is going to lose this issue but he’s going to win it in the long run when he isn’t in office if we don’t pull our kids from government schools. We conservatives have to actively engage children when it comes to gun rights or we risk losing our freedom for generations to come. It didn’t take very long for the left to convince the nation that sodomy was not only a right but worthy of marriage. While gun rights are seen as entrenched in the American psyche, it will only take a generation of relentless attacks on gun freedom in schools for the next generation to support massive gun control. Obama has lost the gun control debate, we will lose it if we conservatives and Christians keep entrusting our kids to the progressives at the government schools.

Obama’s Failed Gun Control Shaming Speech

Obama have a speech yesterday on gun control wherein he tried to shame the country for not supporting his proposal. Apparently the country has “forgotten those kids” the President told us, of course speaking about the Newtown shooting. It just so happens that the police in Connecticut released their investigation of Adam Lanza yesterday, telling us nothing that we either didn’t know or didn’t think was a likely conclusion. Obama of course ran with all of this, politicizing the murder of children. Because of course people who don’t support his gun control policies must hate children.

The timing of Obama’s speech is curious. Surely the White House knew the Connecticut investigation was going to be released yesterday because by law in that state it was subject to FOIA requests. So perhaps the administration wanted to take advantage of that release, trying to create the chaotic conditions necessary to push through their gun control package. That said, surely the administration knows that important speeches like the one Obama believes he gave yesterday shouldn’t be given the day before a holiday weekend. While yours truly doesn’t celebrate Good Friday or Easter, a healthy majority of the country does celebrate them.

From a political standpoint it makes no sense to give a big speech the day before those holidays begin. Yesterday is the sort of day you dump documents, announce the resignation of cabinet members or release bad news. It isn’t the day to make a big push on what the President considers an important piece of legislation. Maybe the White House thinks they can connect gun control, Newtown and the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. If so, the connection was missed by 99% of the country.

Obama can’t be pleased that his gun control measure is doomed to failure. He hates the Republican Party and will no doubt blame them for its defeat. Obama has to hate the Democrats who will also vote against it, who he likely views as traitors. His speech yesterday ramped up the rhetoric on this front. He’s no longer after an assault weapons ban, he’s now calling such guns ”weapons of war.” The left is always very good at changing language to suit their interests. On some level it’s surprising that Obama didn’t call ‘assault weapons’ ‘weapons of war’ in the first place. If he’s going to try and emotionally manipulate the country into supporting gun control, you would think he would go all the way with it.

Like with Obamacare, the country doesn’t favor Obama’s gun control push. Obama has made the same mistake Bush made with social security reform in 2005. He’s wasted political capital on an issue he cannot win. After spending three months campaigning on this issue, to waste a big speech before a holiday weekend almost appears like amateur hour. There will be no additional support for Obama’s gun control efforts, he won’t be able to cajole his own party into fully supporting it. The President would be better off politically if he let this issue die in order to focus on something he might be able to win such as immigration. Obama strikes me as enough of a narcissist that he won’t let this issue die quickly enough.

Progressive Richard Nixon Favored Handgun Ban

The Associated Press is running an article in newspapers across the country hailing Richard Nixon as a proponent of gun control. The AP is suddenly reporting on “previously unreported” recordings of Nixon in the White House plotting to ban handguns while brushing off the NRA. We’re of course to believe that the AP or whoever supplied the AP with this information didn’t wait until an opportune time to disclose this information. Nixon is described as a “conservative President” throughout the piece. One wonders what is conservative about Nixon’s statement “I don’t know why any individual should have a right to have a revolver in his house. The kids usually kill themselves with it and so forth.”

Let’s first dispel the notion that Nixon was a conservative. Perhaps in the minds of the liberal press, which is made up of former 60′s radical hippies and school age children of the 70′s. If by conservative we mean grouchy and didn’t get along with Democrats or the press, then Nixon was a conservative. Nixon’s policies suggest he’s a progressive rather than a conservative. Nixon signed into law the EPA. He signed into law wage and price controls which created chaos during the Carter administration. He took the United States off the gold standard completely. He increased taxes. It appears he wanted to ban handguns. Remind me what is conservative about any of this.

The 60′s hippies would have preferred RFK or McGovern who were no doubt to the left of Nixon. But that doesn’t make Nixon a conservative anymore than it makes every opponent of Soviet Communism a fascist. Nixon believed much as Obama does in a top down economy with Washington as the center. It is hardly surprising that Nixon believes that people shouldn’t be allowed to own handguns. That he wonders how it could be that anyone would be allowed to own a revolver suggests that Nixon never appealed to the Constitution. Like with most things during his administration, he appealed to the power of government or to himself.

The fact is we have a right to keep and bear arms according to the Constitution. That includes handguns and revolvers. Anyone who believes that children are killing themselves with revolvers is living in a liberal fantasy land. In Nixon’s defense, he’s having a discussion with aides so perhaps he’s going a little strong on the hyperbole to make a point. For his sake it’s probably good he didn’t make this argument in public. For the nation’s sake it’s probably good he never proposed a handgun ban because he may well have gotten it.

Now that the left magically came up with Nixon’s opposition to handguns expect them to use that as an argument against us today. Republicans ought to shrug their shoulders and toss the argument aside because it doesn’t matter. While Nixon’s support for a handgun ban is an interesting historical footnote for the progressive president, it isn’t relevant today. The GOP for almost 40 years has tried to distance itself from Nixon. While the former President was able to get some good publicity before he died (Clinton was close with Nixon) he’s still the only President to resign and he is, in fact, a crook. Even the progressives in the GOP shy away from Nixon, rightfully so. If the liberals at the AP think they can get liberal Republicans on board with Nixon, they’re sadly mistaken.

It’s Come To This: The Toaster Pastry Gun Freedom Act

Josh Welch, a second grader at a Baltimore government school, was suspended for two days. His offense? He nibbled away at a pop tart turning it into the shape of a gun and then pointed it at friends in what one can imagine was a game. The timid souls at the government schools suspended the kid, up in New York no doubt Nanny Bloomberg wants Josh’s parents locked up for giving him a pop tart. It’s bad enough the school suspended a kid for making a pop tart gun, they made matters worse by offering counseling for any child “troubled” by said pop tart gun. If I were a kid I would be more troubled by the utter stupidity of those in control than I would be by a pop tart gun.

State Sen. J.B. Jennings has introduced what might as well be called the Toaster Pastry Gun Freedom Act. The bill would limit the overreactions common among the timid souls who run government schools. Sadly Josh Welch’s case isn’t atypical. Little boys across the country are being punished at government schools for pointing fingers at each other and saying bang. A 9 year old in metro Detroit brought cupcakes to school for his birthday (who knew those weren’t banned by the liberal food police?). The treats had little plastic toy soldiers on them, which of course caused the school to fall to pieces. No word on whether traumatized students have been offered counseling.

There are two things going on here. First is a hysteric overreaction to the Sandy Hook school shooting. Last I checked the shooting was perpetrated by an adult, not by a pop tart wielding child. The notion that little boys pointing their fingers at each other or that plastic toy soldiers on cupcakes creates a threat or is somehow a form of intimidation is ludicrous beyond belief. Surely even the timid souls at the government schools know they’re being ridiculous. Which, if so, suggests they’re really up to something else.

No doubt the left views the children of today as the generation that will ban guns in the future. That’s one reason why they’re trying to scare children over guns. They’re also waging a war on boys, which is their broader goal. For decades the government schools have waged an assault on boys. They don’t just promote girls, they tear down boys. Anything that is generally common among boys is torn down, be it playing war games at recess, gym class, focusing on heroes in class etc. The government schools has for decades pushed to drug little boys so they’ll sit in class. The hysterical over reaction to pop tart guns is both an over reaction to gun violence and a typical reaction to anything boy.

This is yet another example of why people need to remove their children from government schools. Especially so for Christian parents. The godless government school worldview that they teach children ought not be acceptable to Christian parents. That the schools on a regular basis fall to pieces over common things boys do ought to concern us almost as much as the worldview. We’re laughing at the teachers in Baltimore and metro Detroit for their over reaction. But they’re not laughing, they’re very serious. They really think pop tart guns traumatized students, they really think cheap, plastic toy soldiers on cupcakes pose a risk. The sort of worldview that prompts these reactions to seem as normal is a threat to the future of our republic.
