Race Hustlers Suddenly Silent On Trayvon Martin

We haven’t heard much about the Trayvon Martin case in the last month. It seems the race hustlers, who were holding protests and threatening lives for the better part of a month, have grown tired of the case. Perhaps they’re content with an arrest and second degree murder charges for George Zimmerman or perhaps they’ve had some time to look at the facts and have determined this case is a loser and that Martin was probably the aggressor. Or perhaps the race hustlers have a short attention span. Either way, the race hustlers and their media defenders have largely forgotten about this case.

Zimmerman has from the beginning alleged that Martin attacked him first. Under Florida’s Stand Your Ground law, when Martin became an aggressor Zimmerman had the right to use any manner of force he desired to protect himself, including fatal force. Zimmerman has released his medical records, which show that he had a broken nose, black eyes, cuts on the back of his head and a minor back injury the day after the accident. We’ve seen the pictures of the bloody cut on the back of Zimmerman’s head already and we’ve heard about the broken nose. Now it’s confirmed.

There is a legitimate question as to why Zimmerman waited a day to see the doctor for his broken nose. To most people this seems a bit odd, who wouldn’t go to the doctor or emergency room immediately after breaking a nose. I deal with car crashes all the time (I defend people involved in car crashes who have been sued) and it’s amazing how many people refuse medical treatment at the scene of an accident only to end up going to their doctor or to the ER the next day for a serious injury. My theory is that shock and adrenalin mask pain from some injuries so that their injured party doesn’t realize it until the adrenalin wears off hours later.

It makes sense that Zimmerman would have the pain of his injuries masked by adrenalin after his confrontation with Martin. Those events with Martin must have been exciting in the same sense that a car crash is exciting to those involved in it. Adrenalin kicked in and masked the pain of a broken nose. The alternative is that Zimmerman went home and broke his own nose in order to create his version of events. That’s just not believable in this case as we already saw cuts on the back of Zimmerman’s head at the police station that night which suggest that he was pushed backwards which of course is what would happen if someone were punched in the nose.

This case is a complete disaster for the prosecution. Yours truly does not get involved in criminal cases very often. But from my knowledge of the law and my knowledge about criminal law, it seems to me this case is a complete loser. There is reasonable doubt written all over it. Keep in mind the prosecution has to prove its case beyond a reasonable doubt, in legal speak that’s a 99.9% certain someone is guilty standard. Any reasonable doubt, even if you’re 90% certain someone committed a crime, results in a not guilty verdict.

With the evidence that is out there, there are going to be plenty of reasonable people who aren’t even 50% sure Zimmerman is guilty. We know he shot Trayvon Martin but his claim of self defense is compelling enough to create reasonable doubt which is all that is necessary for a not guilty verdict. The media realizes this which is why they’re barely covering it anymore. In their hearts, so do the race hustlers which is why they’re not as vocal about this matter as they were a month ago. Unless the prosecution has some amazing evidence that isn’t out yet, there’s no way Zimmerman will be convicted of second degree murder. It might not even get to trial, that’s how bad this case is.

Zimmerman Trial Will End In Race Riots

George Zimmerman was freed on Sunday after posting a $150,000 bond. Apparently such a bond is fairly typical in Florida for second degree murder charges. The result is that leftists, blacks and others are threatening to kill Zimmerman and if not him then the judge. Elsewhere, a black man beat a white man to death because he was “angry” over the Trayvon Martin death. The left and their allies in the media are setting the stage for riots when Zimmerman is either found to have acted within Florida’s Stand Your Ground Law by a judge or is found not guilty by a jury.

In Florida the prosecution has to prove that Zimmerman acted with a depraved mind but not that the murder was premeditated. The Stand Your Ground law allows use of deadly force the moment someone is attacked and the attacked does not have to flee or first try to back down. So if Trayvon Martin made any move towards Zimmerman, then Zimmerman cannot be found guilty of murder. New evidence published over the weekend shows Zimmerman with very nasty looking cuts on the back of his head. Somehow Zimmerman was put on his back during an altercation with Martin, that evidence alone creates reasonable doubt as to whether Zimmerman murdered Martin. It also falls into his story that he was attacked.

With this new evidence liberal criminal defense attorney and Harvard Professor Alan Dershowitz called Zimmerman’s prosecution immoral and stupid. If obtaining a conviction isn’t a very good possibility, a prosecutor has no business filing charges. If the prosecutor knew about the bloody head pictures then they shouldn’t have filed, it’s really that simple. The picture creates reasonable doubt as to whether Zimmerman committed 2nd degree murder and they very possibly prove that he acted in self defense.

Unfortunately anyone who says such things is branded a racist by leftists seeking to turn Martin’s death into a political matter and by a media more interested in creating drama than reporting facts. This entire case should never have been about race. It’s a tragic case no doubt, a 17 year old is dead likely because of a combination of his own arrogant stupidity and Zimmerman’s over zealousness. But race simply isn’t a factor, no matter how many times the media uses the newly coined term ‘white hispanic.’ Zimmerman didn’t kill Martin because Martin is black, he likely killed him because he was attacked.

The problem though is that no matter how unjust it is this case has turned into a racial matter. Over 90% of blacks believe Martin was targeted because he’s black, 60% of whites don’t buy that. Race hustlers spent weeks declaring it’s dangerous to be a black man in America, pretending that a fictitious white lynch mob makes it so while ignoring the fact that 92.5% of blacks who are murdered are killed by other blacks. Zimmerman is free on bond and his life is being threatened online, his family claims their lives have been threatened as well. Spike Lee posted a false Zimmerman address last month on Twitter and an old couple had to flee their home because of all the death threats.

In short what we’re looking at is race riots in the coming months. At some point one of two things will happen in the Zimmerman case. Either the judge is going to rule in favor of Zimmerman in a pre-trial Stand Your Ground motion (this could happen during the trial as well) or a jury is going to find reasonable doubt and issue a not guilty verdict. Florida circuit judges are elected so it’s unlikely that Zimmerman will win a pre-trial motion because the judge isn’t going to want to face the scrutiny of such a decision at election time. (he probably won’t like the death threats either) He’s more likely to rule in Zimmerman’s favor during the trial when more evidence is on the record. In any event, is there little doubt that with the racial charged climate created by leftist race hustlers that there will be rioting if Zimmerman isn’t convicted? The big question though is whether the leftists really care about Martin or if they simply seized on Martin’s death to further the chaos the progressive left hopes to create via Occupy Wall Street. Time will tell.

Why Does The Nation Know Trayvon Martin?

George Zimmerman was charged with 2nd degree murder in the death of Trayvon Martin. Why anyone but Martin’s family should really care about this is highly questionable. The leftist race hustlers have made a deal out of this case far beyond what it is worth. Zimmerman is hispanic, but the media has been calling him a “white hispanic” because one of his parents is white. I suppose President Obama is a white black since his mother is white. Race is really irrelevant to this case, but the left has turned this into an unnecessary racial battle.

The left-wing media has played a substantial role in setting up Martin’s death as a racial hate crime. NBC edited Zimmerman’s 9-11 call so that it appeared he said “the guy looks like he’s up to no good. He looks black.” In reality Zimmerman was asked by the 911 dispatcher whether Martin was white, black or hispanic to which Zimmerman replied “he looks black.” In short, NBC’s edit inflamed black racial hatred towards whites, furthering their political cause. NBC has since fired the producer who edited the tape but the damage has already been done.

Not to be out done, CNN “enhanced’ the 911 tape and determined that Zimmerman called Martin a coon. Once NBC got nailed for their selective edit, CNN ‘enhanced’ the tape a second time and decided that Zimmerman didn’t call Martin a coon. Of course the damage had already been done as thousands took to the streets wearing those ridiculous hoodies believing Zimmerman targeted Martin because he was black and called him a coon. In fact, Zimmerman had done none of those things.

Let’s talk about the hoodie for a second. What people wear affects how we view them. If you look like a thug, no matter your race, people are going to treat you accordingly. Likewise, if you’re dressed in a pair of trousers and a polo shirt, you’re going to be treated differently no matter your race. Martin was dressed in a thuggish manner, in keeping with the image he was portraying of himself on Facebook and Twitter. The Uniform Crime Report of 2009 shows that among people 18 or younger, blacks were charged with 58 percent of murder and non-negligent manslaughter, 67 percent of robberies, 42 percent of aggravated assaults and 43 percent of auto thefts. These stats of course don’t mean Martin was up to no good. But they do tell us why Zimmerman may have believed Martin was up to something, especially considering Martin’s purported erratic behavior.

The media of course isn’t interested in any of this. They also aren’t interested in black on black crime or black on white crime. They aren’t interested in the old white Tulsa couple who were were attacked in their by a black man last month, the wife died while the husband suffered a broken jaw. They aren’t interested in the Kansas City white 13 year old who was doused with gasoline which two black kids then lit and declared “you get what you deserve white boy.” The media has a narrative, that being that whites are racists and blacks are victims. That’s what Trayvon Martin’s case makes headlines and stories about the 92.5% of black murders which occur at the hands of other blacks are not.

Let’s look at whose leading these protests. We know about the typical race hustlers but does anyone wonder why SEIU is handing out Trayvon Martin posters and organizing protests? Why is a service employee union interested in this case? These people don’t care about Trayvon Martin, they care about creating chaos and creating divisions. They’re leftists who want revolution and are organizing for it. Trayvon Martin is a convenient rallying point to go along with Occupy Wall Street. Keep in mind, SEIU’s Stephen Lerner is at the forefront of the racial movement which has co-opted the Trayvon Martin case.

People outside of Sanford Florida should have no knowledge about this case. That we do is the result of race hustling, worse it’s race hustling on a lie. Zimmerman isn’t a racist, he’s not wearing a stupid white sheet and lynching black kids. We have murders everyday in America, in Philadelphia and Chicago alone they’re averaging one a day. The overwhelming majority are black. The Martin case is sad, but it’s no cause for the entire country to be up in arms. It’s no cause for protest. For lack of a better phrase, it’s a run of the mill murder case that’s perhaps only different because the defendant has a good shot at winning. That it has turned into a nationwide story ought to make you wonder why. Dig a little deeper and it becomes clear. The left is using Trayvon Martin to further an agenda. That they’re furthering it on a lie doesn’t matter to them. It ought to matter to you though.

The Left Refuses To Have An Honest Discussion About Race

The Black Panthers have placed a $10,000 bounty on George Zimmerman’s  head. You’ll recall that Zimmerman killed 17 year old Trayvon Martin last month. Zimmerman has claimed self defense, leftist race baitors suggest otherwise. The case set forth by the left seems to be unraveling.  Zimmerman’s attorney claims that his client suffered a broken nose and an injury to the back of his head, which if true suggests that there was a struggle or an attack against him by Martin. A witness claims Martin attacked Zimmerman. A black friend and former Orlando news reporter says people are rushing to judgment and that Zimmerman is remorseful and he isn’t a racist.

Whether all of this new information exonerates Zimmerman remains to be seen. The legal process will determine the credibility of witnesses and we should have full confidence that the system will work. We must never forget that the prosecution must prove its case beyond a reasonable doubt and if these witnesses are at least partially credible, that standard of proof may be very difficult to meet. Especially so on a murder charge.

While the facts of the case are interesting, what we really need to do is have a discussion on race in this country. The problem with such a discussion is that the left insists that all whites are racist. We’re told about our ‘whiteness’ and the privilege they imagine is associated with that. We’re told by the left that we must have a collective white guilt for past sins against black people. When the left insists 0n beginning a discussion on race in this manner, they destroy the opportunity to actually have a discussion because the right doesn’t believe in collective guilt for sins that happened two generations ago or more. There is no white privilege, we believe in equality under the law.

White people in 2012 are not guilty for slavery which ended almost 150 years ago. We cannot be guilty, we are not responsible for others sins. That doesn’t mean we are to shrug our shoulders and walk away from slavery. But it does mean that we who are alive today bare no responsibility for slavery. It’s a fact of history that must be studied, we must oppose slavery as contrary to freedom. We must acknowledge the wrong of slavery without taking the blame or guilt associated with it. The left will have none of this and will insist that white people who don’t accept guilt are racists. That is a narrative that must not be allowed to stand.

Even if we’re talking about Jim Crow, which ended two generations ago, the idea of white guilt must be eliminated. It is an outrage that government was used to deny blacks equality under the law. It is an outrage that blacks could be attacked and lynched without prosecution. (Interestingly FDR refused to consider Federal anti-lynching legislation) But the idea that we in 2012 who were either not alive before the 60′s or young children at the time are guilty of Jim Crow is absurd. We are not guilty for the sins of the past, especially those that we were not involved in and have no control over.

There is only white privilege when the law allows for it. Under Jim Crow there was white privilege because under the law people of different races were treated differently. Now that Jim Crow has been eliminated, there is no white privilege. The fact that white families tend to have more net wealth isn’t a sign of privilege. It’s a sign that white families have made different choices in their lives. Most white families came to the United States with nothing. In a generation or two, many moved up into the middle class. Those moving here from Asia have similar stories. We don’t talk about Asian privilege, we only talk about white privilege.

What race relations show us is that America has two very divergent political viewpoints that race highlights. On the left we have a collectivist outlook, with collective guilt, collective solidarity based on race. Blacks need to collectively have pride and power, whites are to be collectively guilty. On the right we have an individualist mindset wherein those not responsible, indeed those not even alive, are not guilty of the past sins of a nation. These two divergent mindsets are one of the reasons why political battles have been so bitter lately. Not on the issue of race of course, but the battle for the last thirty years has been collectivism against individualism. We see it highlighted in our starkly different views of race.

Racism is evil, it is an affront to the Christian faith and thus should never be tolerated. Individuals who are racists should be exposed as racists and ridiculed for their obnoxious racism. We can acknowledge the sins of the past without being responsible for them. The only way we become responsible, individually, for the sins of the past is if we support them and seek their reinstatement. The left calls those who oppose collective guilt for acts committed generations before any of us were born racism. This bastardization of racism cannot be allowed to stand. But it will be allowed so long as the left refuses to have an honest discussion of race without blaming those who have nothing to do with slavery, Jim Crow or discrimination. Truth be told, if the left gave up on collective guilt they would destroy their ability to unjustly rile up minorities and thus would lose votes. But of course, no one is allowed to note that.

Radical Racist Left Seizes On Trayvon Martin, Threatens Violence

The death of Trayvon Martin has brought all of the race baitors out of the woodwork. Martin died when a self appointed neighborhood watchman, George Zimmerman, shot him. Zimmerman hasn’t been arrested, the death was apparently determined to be an act of self defense. Race baitors have suggested otherwise, painting Zimmerman as a racist who sought out and killed Martin because he’s black. Zimmerman in the media has been portrayed as white, which has turned this situation into a massive racial free for all.

There’s only one problem. George Zimmerman isn’t white. Zimmerman is a Spanish speaking Hispanic from a multiracial family. That of course doesn’t mean he can’t be an anti-black racist, he may very well be. But it changes the racial undertones of this situation. Of course the media continues to portray Zimmerman as white and race baitors in the black community continue to as well. Their purpose is to portray America as a racist nation where blacks have to fear for their lives at the hands of wicked, racist whites. Reporting that Zimmerman is in fact Hispanic and likely multiracial destroys the narrative.

And what a narrative it is. We have high school students storming out of class because Zimmerman hasn’t been charged. Never mind that they don’t have all the information because the investigation is still going on. The students are of course being egged on by their leftist teachers. Al Sharpton is in Florida threatening violence. Louis Farrakhan is threatening retaliation, presumably against white people even though the shooter isn’t white. MSNBC host Karen Finney blamed Martin’s death on Rush Limbaugh, Newt Gingrich and Rick Santorum. Not to be out done President Obama tried to personalize the whole situation by claiming that Martin would have looked just like him.

In short, all the leftists are out in force on this one local incident. Why is that? Because they have a political reason for doing this, they’re trying demonize whites and they’re subtly suggesting that voting against Obama is equal to racism. Their whole narrative, which is that whites hate blacks, is destroyed with the fact that Zimmerman isn’t white. When we look at the black leadership’s reaction, it’s nothing short of outrageous. Sharpton and Farrakhan both threatened violence over this death. Obama absurdly tried to personalize it, even though just like the Prof. Louis Gates situation he doesn’t know all the facts. None of us do.

It may very well be that this death wasn’t an act of self defense and thus wasn’t justified. It may be that Zimmerman, if he isn’t a racist at least has anti-black tendencies. It would be odd considering he allegedly has black family members, but anything is possible. A Grand Jury is set to hear this case in April, the facts will come out then. But until then, turning this situation into a giant attack on white people by jumping to conclusions is nothing short of outrageous. Of course when Al Sharpton is involved anything short of outrageous would be shocking.

Everyone needs to calm down and let the Grand Jury do its job. We need to have faith in our legal system. To venture a guess, a Grand Jury won’t indict Zimmerman with first degree murder because absent evidence we don’t know of yet there doesn’t appear to be the necessary intent. But they could indict him with second degree murder or manslaughter. Or perhaps evidence will show that Martin was up to no good and threatened Zimmerman which then justified the shooting. But we have to let the legal process work its way out rather than jumping to conclusions, accusing whites of collective racism, threatening violence and retaliation.
