Obama’s Speech To Israeli Leftists Mirrors Cairo Speech

President Obama has been gallivanting around Israel the past few days. His visit is interesting in that it parallels a visit to Egypt in 2009. In his Cairo visit, Obama held a speech at a university filled with hand picked radicals including the Muslim Brotherhood. Rather than speak to the Knesset, Obama chose to speak to another group of hand picked university radicals. In Cairo he included the Muslim Brotherhood, in Israel he spoke to a room where only half stood and cheered when Obama said Israel had a right to statehood. One wonders what Obama’s end game is here in Israel. In Egypt he empowered the Arab Spring radicals. Who is he empowering now?

Obama’s flowery rhetoric for the press can easily be ignored. He suggested the difference between the Palestinians and Israelis is no different than the Canadians and Americans. Last I checked, Canada wasn’t launching rockets on the daily into the United States. It’s easy to dismiss this sort of nonsense argument, as it is easy to dismiss Obama’s positive rhetoric about Israel. Are we to believe he’s done a 180 on Israel in the last few months?

What is interesting about this trip is who he’s speaking to. Like in Egypt he wants to speak to the “leaders of tomorrow” at a hand picked university speech. He even referenced his Cairo speech, telling the crowd of radicals he spoke to people “just like you.” No doubt, they are as they were all hand selected radical leftists. He also said the following:

And let me say this as a politician — I can promise you this, political leaders will never take risks if the people do not push them to take some risks.  You must create the change that you want to see.  Ordinary people can accomplish extraordinary things.

In this line he’s essentially telling a group of radical leftists to push their government to “take some risks.” He said largely the same thing to the Cairo university, which included leaders of the Muslim Brotherhood. They took his words to heart and started a revolution. Don’t think Obama doesn’t know exactly what he’s doing here. He’s signaling to the radical left in Israel and the Palestinians that the United States will do nothing to help Israel if there is a leftist revolution.

Like in Egypt, the Israeli leftists and Palestinians were watching and listening closely to what Obama said in this speech. He’s made it clear that he wants them to push Israel, he’s made it clear the US won’t help the current state of Israel. What these radicals do with this news is anyone’s guess. One would think this was a call for a Palestinian uprising supported by radical Israeli leftists. Israel is perhaps in a better position to defend itself than Egypt was, so who knows which side will come out victorious. World opinion of Israel has turned sharply against the state in the last decade, so perhaps the Palestinians can count on world support. (remember just a decade ago it was “anti-Semitic” to oppose Israel or anything Jewish? Now the media openly attacks the state. Why?)

Hopefully Obama’s speech won’t amount to anything. But in a year when Israel is in turmoil, we can look back to this speech as the start of whatever is taking place. Obama may be over playing his hand in Israel, but look for the Palestinians to start something big at some point. They’ll look to the US for support and odds are they’ll get it indirectly from this administration. They’ll get it directly from our media who will pretend like it’s some sort of spontaneous uprising when in reality it will be a planned event. An event, that has ties directly to the President. We need to be paying attention here, Israel will be the next major world crisis.

Israel On The Brink Of War

While everyone in the US is paying attention to the salacious details of the David Petraeus fornication scandal, there are other things going on in the world. (in fairness, there are other things going on with Petraeus as well) Israel has launched a handful of bombs on Syria and perhaps more importantly has launched several bombs on Gaza killing a top Hamas commander. The Gaza attack is being described by Israel as a major offensive. Israel has already hit 20 underground rocket sites in Gaza. The Israeli army has declared they are prepared for a major ground offensive in Gaza should it be necessary.

Rather unsurprisingly Hamas has fired several rockets into Israeli border towns. Hamas is of course associated with Iran, which in response to the attacks on Gaza are conducting massive drills in preparation for war with Israel. Egypt, formerly an ally of Israel under Mubarak, is supporting Hamas and threatening to get involved. Obama’s response has largely been silent, though he allegedly called Israel and Egypt trying to talk them off the ledge. None of these events are particularly surprising. They’re a direct result of Obama’s foreign policy which has done little more than placate radical Islam at the expense of our ally Israel.

Obama refuses to get tough with Iran then we’re supposed to be shocked when Hamas fires rockets into Israel at will. Obama has consistently looked the other way as Iran has armed Hamas. In Egypt, Obama actively supported the overthrow of Mubarak knowing full well the anti-Israel Muslim Brotherhood would take control of the country. The Muslim Brotherhood is on record wanting to wipe Israel off the face of the Earth. Did Obama think he’s amazing oratory would be able to convince the Brotherhood not to do that? Obama continues to fund the Egyptian Army to the tune of over $1 billion annually. We’re essentially funding the army that will attack our ally in Israel. (message to the GOP House: Cut foreign aid funding for Egypt)

Obama’s apology tour in 2009 did exactly what it intended to do. It demonstrated American weakness in the middle east. It told radical Islamic groups that the United States would be largely unwilling to get involved in disputes involving Israel. It set the stage for Arab Spring in which radical Islamic groups overthrew relatively pro-American regimes and replaced them with vehemently anti-Israel regimes who do little more than pay lip service to the United States. Now we’re on the brink of war in the middle east, a war which can hardly be called unforeseeable. Iran has been threatening war for years with Hamas as its puppet. Egypt has longed for war ever since the Muslim Brotherhood took over. Obama’s foreign policy has been a success, if we define success as weakening America and achieving Obama’s personal goals.

Obama is going to go through the motions of trying to avoid a war. Odds are he will not get US troops involved in any meaningful way. He doesn’t want to support Israel and he doesn’t have support at home to join the Brotherhood and Iran. He’ll pay lip service to Israel while doing very little in their defense. The result of that is that the war, if one should occur, will be particularly nasty and bloody. Without the backing of its major ally, don’t be surprised if Israel uses its nuclear weapons if it feels like its backed up against a wall. While everyone here in the US is focused on Petraeus’ adultery, we’re not focused on a potential war in the middle east to say nothing of the Benghazi cover up. It’s time for us to start paying attention.

Why Was Ambassador Stevens In Benghazi?

Something doesn’t add up in the Libyan attack on the American consulate  in Benghazi. We know that this was a planned, staged attack as opposed to a spontaneous riot. Even CBS acknowledges this. Libya says they warned the US three days before it occurred. We all know the results, Ambassador Christopher Stevens was killed along with three others. On the anniversary of 9-11, why was Ambassador Stevens in Benghazi rather than Tripoli? We have an Embassy in Tripoli which is secure, it has a security team. From all accounts Benghazi is a very dangerous city. Why was our Ambassador there without a security team?

If we step into coverup land, we could note that ABC had just three weeks before the attack reported that one of the guys killed with the Ambassador was in Libya to recover Gaddafi’s arsenal of weapons. If we want to go into Glenn Beck land the attack on our Ambassador was an undercover arms deal gone bad. This is a plausible explanation, in the very least it explains why the Ambassador may have been at an unsecure consulate without security in Benghazi as opposed to the bunker Embassy in Tripoli.

There could be other reasons why he might be in Benghazi ranging from undercover actions to shear stupidity. We have yet to be told why Stevens was in Benghazi, the government has said nothing. In fact, until the other day the Obama administration wouldn’t even call this a terrorist attack. Whether these guys, presumably al Qaeda, had it in for Stevens or whether Stevens was up to something that didn’t work out remains to be seen. What we’re not getting is information from the administration. They appear to be slow to respond or they appear to be covering something up. How does it take eight days to declare this a terror attack? Remind me again why our Ambassador was in Benghazi.

Meanwhile there are reports out there that Obama is negotiating with Egypt for the return of the Blind Sheik, Omar Abdel-Rahman. The Blind Sheik is responsible for the 1993 bombing of the World Trade Center. He’s in the slam for life for the terrorist attack. Several media outlets have reported this and Rep. Peter King has confirmed it. The Justice Department issued a statement calling the reports “utter garbage.” Such a term is a little odd coming from the Justice Department. But let’s be honest, this isn’t a Justice Department issue, it’s a State Department issue. So the ‘utter garbage’ comment is nothing but smoke and mirrors.

Something is up in the middle east. This entire situation is fishy. These people were not rioting over a meaningless, poorly produced video on You Tube. After all, there are much worse attacks on Mohamed on You Tube and elsewhere. We’re not being told the whole story. It makes no sense for our Ambassador to be in Benghazi, especially if he’s supposedly on an al Qaeda hit list. Unless of course he’s up to something and the hit list isn’t real. Why are the Egyptians rioting in the street with seemingly no opposition from their government? Could it be a demonstration meant to provoke (read: intimidate) Obama into releasing the blind sheik?

We need journalists who are willing to do some real investigative reporting. Something isn’t right here, none of the official explanations for what’s happened make any sense. In fact, they continue to shift as their official explanations get shot down with facts. The big key though is why was Ambassador Stevens in a dangerous city like Benghazi without adequate security? Why was a member of his security team quoted by ABC as being some sort of arms investigator? Something isn’t right her. When we discover why Stevens was really in Benghazi this whole episode in the middle east will start to make sense.

Obama’s Cold Embassy Response Leads Press To Attack Romney

The President’s response to the Embassy attacks in the middle east can best be described as odd. He delivered a cold, distant message on the matter yesterday. He appeared annoyed that he had to even make a comment. He showed no outrage over the death of a US ambassador. He didn’t look like he was very much concerned at all about what was going on. Obama went ahead with his normal schedule yesterday, appearing at a campaign event in Nevada where he didn’t even mention the ambassador by name. These are major attacks on the United States and the President seems disinterested and preoccupied.

Meanwhile the press is trying to bury Obama’s cold, distant response by focusing on supposed gaffes made by Mitt Romney. The AP published an article that reads more like opinion than news. They suggested that Romney’s statement yesterday that the Embassy apologized and that it’s never to early to defend American values is somehow not factual and therefore a gaffe. Obama commented on it himself yesterday. As usual the fact checkers are showing their left-wing bias. Worse, they’re inserting this into a news article that really is nothing more than opinion. Especially so when even the administration acknowledges that the Embassy statement was horrible.

Romney’s statement was pretty clear. The Embassy attack on American free speech was an apology for the movie put out by Sam Bacile and Pastor Terry Jones. At the time the Embassy issued its statement there were already protesters in Cairo. Romney is right, it’s never to early to defend American values. In this case the value is free speech. That the protesters in Cairo hasn’t yet breached the Embassy isn’t even relevant to Romney’s statement. The AP and Obama know that but they have to cover for Obama’s Carteresque handling of this situation. Romney needs to make another statement on these protests today. He needs to attack Obama’s weakness and his distant reaction. He needs to tell the country that under a Romney administration, murdering an ambassador will not be tolerated. He needs to call for an immediate suspension of all aid to Libya and Egypt.

According to ABC’s Jake Tapper the Pentagon called Pastor Terry Jones to try to strong arm him into no longer funding the anti-Islam film the protesters are allegedly so outraged about. Let’s be up front, Terry Jones is a bit of a nut and no doubt his silly movie is unnecessarily offensive to Muslims. But free speech actually has to matter in this country. We cannot have government officials calling American citizens, much less pastors, trying to get them to shut up. These are thug tactics because the unspoken message is that if Jones doesn’t stifle himself the government will. This is exactly what Mitt Romney’s point is, it’s never to early to defend the American value of freedom of speech.

We’re living in a very strange time in American history. We have a President who is cold and distant in his response to major Embassy attacks. Obama appears disinterested, he doesn’t seem outraged at all. Meanwhile the press doesn’t attack Obama’s handling of these attacks or his preparation or the intel surrounding them. Instead, they attack his Republican opponent by intentionally misinterpreting his statement. Meanwhile the government is calling a pastor up demanding he no longer fund a movie. No one in the press cares about that, in fact many of them blame the movie rather than the rioters and murderers in the middle east.

Obama and company operate under the belief that they should never let a good crisis go to waste. One wonders how they will use this crisis to further their cause. They’re already attacking free speech, as though a movie made by an irrelevant pastor in Florida is cause for murder and mayhem throughout the middle east. What else are they up to?  Or do they even know what they’re doing right now. It almost seems like Obama has no strategy, no plan. Other than his re-election of course.

UPDATE: What do you suppose the biggest threat to national security is? Islamic terrorists come to mind, perhaps a major financial meltdown. Neither of these according to Michelle Obama. Being fat is the biggest threat to national security. Talk about out of touch, not to mention rude because of course she’s implying that we Americans are a bunch of fat slobs. At this point the biggest threat to national security may be Mrs. O’s husband.

Obama’s Foreign Policy Failure On Display in Egypt, Libya

The US Ambassador to Libya is dead. Our embassy in Egypt yesterday was attacked by Muslims. Both of these nations were stable when Obama took office. Then he decided to support the Islamic socialists in the Muslim Brotherhood. The so-called Arab spring took place and now both of those countries are in chaos. It should come as no surprise that the Muslim hordes have turned on the Americans who supported them. This is all entirely predictable. Thanks to Obama’s absurd foreign policy we have a dead ambassador and two destroyed embassy’s. How’s that Arab spring working out?

Apparently the Islamic socialists are all worked up about an amateur film which is disparaging of Mohammed. The film was made by Egyptian expats, so of course the US is responsible. The US Embassy in Cairo had the following to say about yesterday’s attack:

The Embassy of the United States in Cairo condemns the continuing efforts by misguided individuals to hurt the religious feelings of Muslims – as we condemn efforts to offend believers of all religions. Today, the 11th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on the United States, Americans are honoring our patriots and those who serve our nation as the fitting response to the enemies of democracy. Respect for religious beliefs is a cornerstone of American democracy. We firmly reject the actions by those who abuse the universal right of free speech to hurt the religious beliefs of others.

In other words, the United States apparently rejects the idea of free speech so long as that speech ‘hurts’ those of religious faith. In other words, our government opposes films or other speech produced against Mohammed. We’ll pretend that the same government didn’t have a problem funding “art” which amounts to little more than a crucifix in a jar of urine or other forms of “art” which attacks the Christian faith. No, it’s only Mohammed that cannot be spoken against, lest our Cairo Embassy be outraged. The administration is trying to walk back from the Embassy statement but the damage is already done. The Embassy represents the United States in Egypt, they made the statement, once it’s made it represents our country.

The madness doesn’t stop there. Obama refuses to meet with Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu. Apparently the President’s schedule is just too full to meet with the PM of our only ally in the middle east. While our Embassy in Egypt burns and our ambassador’s are dying, Obama will have a moment for an appearance on David Letterman’s silly show. Now that’s some leadership eh? Obama has allowed things to devolve to the point where he’s openly feuding with Israel while his pals in the Muslim Brotherhood are burning down our Embassy’s and killing our ambassador’s. One wonders if we have any allies in the middle east thanks to Obama.

Obama has aided and abetted the destabilization of North Africa and the middle east. He supported the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt, which overthrew a stable pro-US government. He supported the overthrow of Gaddafi in Libya, who was marginally pro-US and in the very least stable. Elsewhere he’s been inconsistent, sometimes supporting Arab revolution and other times not supporting it, even when the Muslim Brotherhood is involved. In Iran, he refused to support real democracy demonstrators. In Syria he’s been all over the place. Obama doesn’t have a core foreign policy outlook other than he hates everything the US has ever done in the middle east. Unfortunately that isn’t a very good basis for consistent foreign policy.

Obama’s lack of consistent policy and his lack of a serious core objective is now rearing its ugly face. He’s openly feuding with our only long term ally in the region. The two countries he openly supported in revolution have turned on the United States, destroyed our embassy’s and killed one ambassador. The rest of the region isn’t any better, Obama has no idea what to do in Syria, Afghanistan is an absolute mess and Iran continues to threaten to nuke Israel. But of course, Obama can’t be bothered to meet with the Israeli PM to discuss the matter. Meanwhile the voice of our government in Egypt condemns free speech and supports the Muslims attacking them. Which of course means that Obama has no control over his embassy’s.

Obama’s first term hasn’t just been an economic disaster for the country, it’s been a foreign policy disaster as well. We’re seeing that today. Obviously the economy is going to be the number one issue this November, no one will pretend that this election will be a repeat of 2004. But it is important to note what a disaster Obama has been for this country internationally. It isn’t just his 2009 apology tour, it’s his active policy that is hurting us. We now have two destroyed embassy’s and a dead ambassador all thanks to Obama’s support for Islamic socialists in the Muslim Brotherhood. Do we want four more years of this?

UPDATE: The corpse of American ambassador Christopher Stevens is being paraded around by the Muslim mobs. What an absolutely disgrace.

Evil Muslim Brotherhood Controls Egypt, Soros & Obama Rejoice

The Muslim Brotherhood has elected Mohammed Morsi as President of Egypt. You’ll recall that the Muslim Brotherhood would like to wipe Israel off the face of the Earth and was nevertheless supported by the Obama administration during the Arab Spring revolution last year. Just last month Morsi was introduced at a rally by cleric Safwat Higazi who declared that Jerusalem will be Egypt’s new capitol. There’s little doubt that Morsi agrees, the entire Muslim Brotherhood is hellbent on war with Israel. A war in the middle east would be a disaster for the United States, it would create chaos which would ultimately harm us.

Various George Soros funded organizations (Code Pink for example) have supported the Muslim Brotherhood’s revolution. It’s always interesting to see American leftist groups, particularly feminist groups, support the Caliphate efforts in the middle east. One Egyptian beat his pregnant wife to death for not voting the right way, Code Pink doesn’t seem to have anything to say about that. In any event, the goals of Soros and the Muslim Brotherhood are similar. They hate capitalism, they hate Israel and they seek to create chaos and overthrow the existing power structure. As such they’re temporary allies despite the fact that they have fundamental disagreements.

What we are seeing in Egypt is democracy in action. It should remind us why democracy is evil, it’s little more than mob rule. Our founders created a republic. The power is with the people but our ability to create mob rule is significantly diminished. A republic protects individual rights, democracy on the other hand tramples all over them. The left loves to talk about democracy, in their minds if they can get one vote over 50% they can run roughshod over individual rights and implement socialism or in the case of the Muslim Brotherhood their goal is to create an Islamic Egypt and a caliphate. Individual rights mean nothing to these people.

The leftists in Wisconsin spent a year talking about democracy, they spent a year linking their effort to oust Scott Walker to the Arab Spring. These two very different groups have one thing in common which is a desire to control people via democracy. They hate individualism and individual rights. In the upcoming months we’ll see countless examples of Morsi and the Brotherhood denying individual rights all for the “good” of Islam. Of course American leftists like George Soros won’t have anything to say about it. But the Brotherhood murders people, remember that is what democracy looks like.

What’s incredible is that our President supports all of this nonsense. Obama isn’t a Muslim, he’s a leftist. Unfortunately American leftists are very much supportive of the fascist Muslim Brotherhood and the chaos they’re bringing to the middle east. Like with Hitler and Mussolini in the 20′s and 30′s, radical American leftists view what’s happening in the middle east as a dry run for what they want to bring here to the United States. Like with the fascist movement in Europe (which was socialist and generally lauded by American leftists until Hitler attacked the Soviet Union) the middle east won’t provide a dry run. But what it will do is bring major chaos to the world, perhaps war in Israel.

We should oppose the Muslim Brotherhood’s takeover of Egypt. Not because we imagine that modern Israel is more than just another country and not because Israel is an ally. We should oppose the takeover because it brings instability to the middle east, which becomes a threat to us militarily and economically. It brings us closer to a middle east, Muslim caliphate. Don’t forget, the Brotherhood isn’t just in Egypt they’re to be found throughout the Islamic world. Islam is a religion of blood and conquest, a caliphate would be incredibly dangerous for the United States and western life. But don’t expect the current occupant of the White House to care about that. He’s an American self loather who would rather our nation become weak. With the Brotherhood in control in Egypt, America is weaker because we now have less influence in the middle east.

Obama Silent While World Burns Around Him

The world is blowing up in our faces and we have near silence coming from Washington. Last week Iran claims to have arrested 12 undercover CIA agents who were allegedly targeting Iran’s nuclear program. Since Iran’s claim, we’ve heard nothing from the CIA or the Obama administration. In fact the mainstream press has been nearly silent on the matter. It’s entirely possible that Iran is lying but if they’re lying why would the mainstream press remain so silent?

Over the weekend NATO fired on Pakistan killing around 24 soldiers. Pakistan is ablaze with anti-American protests as a result. The mainstream press has largely ignored all of this and the Obama administration has more or less remained silent. In Egypt there have been massive protests staged by the Muslim Brotherhood. The Brotherhood declared recently that “one day we shall kill all the Jews.” Remember of course that the Obama administration supported the Muslim Brotherhood in both Egypt and Libya.  Earlier today saboteurs blew up a gas pipeline from Egypt to Israel. Silence all the way around from the Obama administration.

The Obama administration will no doubt claim that it was Thanksgiving weekend and that’s why the President didn’t issue a public response to any of these events. No doubt many Americans were to busy watching football and eating turkey to care about Iran’s claim that they nabbed 12 undercover CIA agents. But the President isn’t an ordinary American and contrary to popular belief the rest of the world doesn’t stop when we have a holiday. The President has no business issuing statements on the end of the NBA lockout when CIA agents are arrested in Iran, NATO is bombing Pakistan and the Muslim Brotherhood is rioting in Egypt, threatening to kill Jews and blowing up pipelines to Israel.

Obama has remained largely silent throughout the month of November. It served him well as his poll numbers climbed several points before he foolishly called the American people lazy at which point his numbers sharply declined. Last week his poll numbers rose a couple points, largely due to a yearly holiday good cheer bump.

The President cannot however remain silent while world events are blowing up all over the world. Particularly world events that Obama has direct involvement in. The European Union, the Euro in particular, are on the brink of collapse. That doesn’t require an American response. But when the President actively supports the overthrow of a ruler, as he did in Egypt, when our agents are arrested and when an organization that we more or less control is bombing countries we are not at war with, it requires a response from the President. So far we haven’t had any. Worse, the media is ignoring these dangerous situations.

The world is a dangerous place right now. We have a President who, when he isn’t choosing the wrong side to support, doesn’t do much of anything. Obama passively watches as world events put the United States in a more dangerous position. It is outrageous that a dozen CIA agents were arrested in Iran. Obama should be ashamed that this happened under his watch. It requires a response from the President. Instead we get nothing but a media blackout. Why? Why exactly is the media protecting the President from this horrible news?

The world is dangerous and Obama doesn’t seem to care. We have a President who we can count on to do nothing over the course of the next year to protect American interests abroad. Vladimir Putin is threatening to return the world to the Cold War, Obama you can bet will do and say nothing. The choice we have next year isn’t just going to come down to economics. Foreign policy is just as important. Our choice is going to come down to a President who hasn’t protected our interests abroad, has sided with the wrong people repeatedly and who doesn’t seem to care when our nation is undermined against a Republican candidate who will protect our interests abroad and not side with terrorists like the Muslim Brotherhood.

“Anti-War” Obama Secretly Bombs Yemen

Our anti-war President is at it again, bombing yet another country. This time it’s Yemen, which is arguably worse than the war in Libya. At least in Libya, President Obama was upfront about what he was doing. In Yemen we’ve been dropping bombs for weeks and perhaps years without any comment from the President. Not even the War Powers Act authorizes this sort of military strike without Congressional knowledge or approval. Yet here is the anti-war President dropping bombs on a supposedly sovereign nation.

Some of the targets in Yemen appear to be legitimate American interests, such as attacking high ranking al Qaeda members. However some are at best questionable. For example the Obama administration has been trying to kill a cleric called Anwar al-Awlaki, who is an American citizen, for over a year. This action by the administration ought to make us at least a little bit uncomfortable. Here we have an American born citizen living in a foreign country who the US is trying to kill rather than capture and try as a criminal. No doubt Anwar al-Awlaki is probably a rotten creature and a criminal, but American citizens ought to be entitled to protections under the Constitution no matter how rotten they are.

The overriding problem with these actions is that Yemen is on the brink of revolution. The Islamic socialists, who we have supported in Egypt, Tunisia and Libya, seek to overthrow the government currently led by President Ali Abdullah Saleh. Our actions, while supposedly in support of President Saleh, have the reverse effect on Yemen’s revolution on the ground. Especially so when Saleh has claimed for the last two years that the airstrikes have been conducted not by the US but by his own military. This has only increased tensions in the country, which would no doubt be made worse if Yemeni citizens knew the Obama administration was really responsible.

So here is the question that must be asked and which will not be answered by Obama. Is the administration actively supporting the revolution on the ground by engaging in these military strikes? Considering that the Obama administration supported the Muslim Brotherhood (who are now operating as the Freedom and Justice Party in Egypt)  and other Islamic socialists in Egypt, Tunisia and Libya, is it out of the question for the Obama administration to support radical Islamic socialists in Yemen? It seems like that would be right up the ally for this administration. So then the question becomes how do these airstrikes play into Obama’s support for radical Islamic socialist revolutionaries?

Obama must know that Yemen has been on the brink of revolution for quite awhile. It’s no secret that President Saleh isn’t well liked and it’s no secret that radical Islam has quite a foothold in Yemen. We also know that President Obama’s foreign policy dictates that Islamic Socialist revolutionaries, supposedly fighting for freedom, democracy and justice, will be supported by the administration. I suspect Obama knows that airstrikes, either coming from the US or supposedly from Yemen’s air force, will undermine Saleh and ultimately support the Islamic socialist revolutionaries that Obama supports. In the meantime, Obama can pick up some foreign policy points if he can kill off members of al Qaeda at the same time.

No matter what Obama’s purposes in Yemen, it is outrageous that the American people do not know about this. This administration, and indeed no administration, has no business conducting secret wars without the knowledge of Congress or the American people. The War on Terror, which Obama denies we are even fighting, may very well take us to places like Yemen. But when the President authorizes air strikes against a nation, even if the attacks are aimed at our enemies in al Qaeda, the Congress and American people must be told. Obama is no anti-war President. He’s very much pro-war. Sadly he’s in favor of secret wars in Yemen and unauthorized wars in Libya.

Arab Spring Erupts: Israel Under Attack On All Fronts

The fruition of the grand Arab Spring has begun. With all its grand talk of democracy, the revolutions held in Egypt and the attempted revolutions elsewhere in the middle east haven’t given the people freedom, a better life or for that matter democracy. The goal of the revolutions was never democracy or freedom, the goal was to get rid of current regimes and install Islamic Socialist states with strong ties to Iran. Iran’s goal of course is to rid the world of Israel and create an Islamic caliphate if not throughout the world than at least throughout the middle east.

Over the weekend Israel came under attack by protesters seeking to illegally enter the country through Lebanon, Syria and Gaza. This has been the goal of the democracy protest organizers all along. Egypt is preparing to elect a leader from the Muslim Brotherhood, which of course has strong times to Hamas. Hamas wants Israel wiped off the face of the Earth. Keep in mind, Hamas is one of the bigger groups representing the Palestinians, a group that is apparently going to have a vote in the UN over whether to recognize Palestine as a state in September.

Israel is under attack on all fronts and there is no telling what Obama is going to do about it. The media is trumping up Obama’s foreign policy after the Osama killing but when it comes to actual foreign policy, the media has largely ignored his errors. Israel is facing attacks at their borders today, Hamas has been launching rockets into Israel for years. Now Israel is facing serious political attack at the UN. If the UN votes to give the Palestinians statehood, Hamas and other radical groups will be able to conduct full scale war against Israel and will be able to secure official backing by other Muslim states.

The big question is whether Obama will use America’s veto power at the UN. All indications seem to point towards him not  using the veto. This is a vote that is coming up in September, so there’s still time for Obama to do the right thing. But assuming he does not, Israel will be stuck responding to the UN’s creation of a Palestinian state. It likely will not be supportive of the UN’s actions, which of course the Muslims want. That will give Egypt and other Muslim states the excuse to in the very least break their peace agreements with Israel and at worse go to war with Israel.

The grand Arab spring that Obama and other leftists so joyfully welcomed is turning out to be little more than a preparation for war with Israel. The people in Egypt are no better off than they were under Mubarak, in fact polls indicate that they may be worse off. They’re essentially exchanging one tyrant for another. All of these protests and revolutions were little more than fronts for Iran backed groups like the Muslim Brotherhood. It’s been amazing to watch American leftists get in bed with these people, all because of their mutual love of socialism and their hatred for Israel and the United States.

This summer is going to be very difficult on the foreign policy front. Israel is going to face increasing attacks and increasing political pressure to accept a Palestinian state. Hopefully they will resist because a Palestinian state will not be a peaceful state. The left-wing media will no doubt treat Israel like they’re the bad guy when in fact they are seeking to protect their citizens from war. We must recognize what’s going on here and reject the media and the left’s support for totalitarian Islamic socialist dictatorships masquerading as democracies. We must support the one free country in the middle east: Israel.

Why I Support Israel Over Islamic Socialism

I support Israel and am shocked at the Obama administration’s move away from supporting Israel as an ally. There are a lot of Christians out there who support the current state of Israel because they believe it to be the reincarnation of the Israel of scripture. Such people tend to believe that Israel’s existence is a sign of upcoming end times. I couldn’t disagree with such a position more. The current state of Israel is not the reincarnation of scriptural Israel. It is little more than a secular country filled with people who need Christ just like the people in Egypt, Jordan and elsewhere.

I do however support Israel and desire the United States to have a closer diplomatic relationship than it currently does under Obama’s leadership. This is because Israel is the lone nation in the middle east with a free and republican form of government. They are a strategic ally in the middle east and a nation that closer shares our values than the Muslim nations in the middle east. Israel is the lone nation of freedom in a part of the world that loves tyranny and barbarity more than anything else.

Make no mistake, the leaders of the Muslim world are brutal. They kill women for not wearing enough clothing, they deny their people freedom of speech, religion etc. Israel is the opposite, they are a western country that shares our western values. It is important for the United States to be allied with them. Especially so in the face of the Islamic socialism that is currently sweeping the middle east.

Egypt has long been an ally with Israel. It has for quite some time been a moderate Muslim nation. However today thanks to the Muslim Brotherhood, aided by the Obama administration, Egypt is no longer an ally with Israel they have as a nation moved towards a more radical and extreme version of Islam. The Brotherhood wants to go to war with Israel. Meanwhile the current government in Egypt is busy locking up bloggers. Conditions aren’t any better in Egypt, they’re in fact worse. Tourism has been destroyed and people are starving. This has only made the move to radical Islam more extreme.

Meanwhile Iran is busy building 4-5 nuclear reactors.  This is a nation that wants to wipe Israel off the face of the Earth and no one seems to be saying anything about Iran continuing forward with their nuclear program. If you think for a second that they aren’t going to build a bomb to drop on Israel you’re bananas. There is no doubt that, if given the opportunity, Iran will nuke Israel.

The UN recently declared that the Palestinians are ready for statehood. The UN is going to push hard for Palestinian statehood as there is a vote coming up in September on this subject. The Palestinians are busy launching rockets into Israel and murdering Israeli families in cold blood. The Palestinians celebrated by handing out candy in the streets over the murders. Just a few weeks ago Palestinians bombed a bus in Jerusalem. This sounds like a group of people who are ready for statehood, if of course statehood means they get to immediately declare war on Israel.

Who happens to be the Palestinians biggest ally? Iran of course. What does Iran want to do? Wipe Israel off the face of the Earth. A Palestinian state will do little more than allow Iran to further wield power in in the region. Iran will use the new state to launch attacks on Israel, be the attacks nuclear or conventional.

This is important for the United States. We need to stand against Islamic socialism throughout the world. Make no mistake, these radical Muslims want to create a global caliphate and they’re beginning in the middle east. The last thing we want to deal with is a caliphate of radical Muslims with a socialist bent. The more broken up the Muslim world is, the easier it will be for the United States to buy oil and conduct business. The minute the Islamic world is able to unite in a caliphate is the minute oil because more expensive than any of us can afford. It is important for the US to remains allies with Israel because they are the only nation blocking the caliphate. A Palestinian state will lead to the destruction of Israel and with Israel out of the way Iran and the Muslim Brotherhood will be free to create a caliphate.

Our interests are at stake in Israel. This is why it is maddening to watch President Obama turn his back on our longtime ally. Israel is important, not because it’s some sort of reincarnation of ancient Biblical Israel but because it is the one thing blocking an Islamic caliphate. We must stand with Israel against the radical Islamic socialists.
