Obama Nothing But A Lawless Thug

The Obama administration is becoming increasingly lawless. Yesterday the President lectured the Supreme Court about what they’ve “got to understand.” We’ve also found out recently that the administration is creating backdoor amnesty for illegal immigrants by providing them with “unlawful presence waivers.” Meanwhile the President is busy talking about how the Ryan budget will destroy the National Weather Service and education even though the budget doesn’t even come close to balancing. With Dallas currently halfway to Oz one wonders if the Ryan budget had passed what the point of having a National Weather Service would even be. After all, the people would be uneducated and thus to dumb to take cover when a tornado is bearing down on them.

This administration has consistently ignored the Constitution, they’ve consistently ignored the law. They had out billions to their politically connected pals like those at Solyndra and Solar Trust for America, which recently went bankrupt after receiving $2.1 billion from the government. If it isn’t this sort of nonsense, they outright ignore the law as they’re doing with illegal immigration. Add in Attorney General Eric Holder, who believes the government has the Constitutional right to murder US citizens and you’ve got quite a gang of lawless thugs.

Not to be outdone, Michelle Obama has gotten into the mix recently. Speaking to a group of school children she told them to go home and tell their grandparents they were “wrong” to not vote for her husband. It’s bad enough that she’s campaigning at school children, what kind of First Lady does that? But to tell them their grandparents were wrong, that’s downright thuggish. But it fits in well with her husband, who this week alone has engaged in two acts of thuggery.

We can never forget that with these radical leftists that the ends justify the means. Acting Presidential only matters to Obama when it suits him, otherwise he can revert to being a community organizer who can say or do as he pleases without consequences. If it suits Obama, he’ll say nice things about the Court. When it doesn’t, he’ll attack them to their face which he did in his 2010 State of the Union address. If need be, he’ll even attack the court concerning a pending case for which opinions are currently being written. Obama’s attack yesterday wasn’t Presidential, it was the act of a thug.

In 2011 the President invited Eric Cantor to attend one of his speeches. In that speech Obama ruthlessly attacked Cantor. That’s the act of a thug. In 2009 he declared that he won the election and it didn’t matter what Republicans think or want. That’s the act of a thug. The way he passed Obamacare was the act of a thug. Not prosecuting the Black Panthers for intimidating voters was lawless. Not prosecuting illegals is lawless, granting them unlawful presence waivers is lawless. Forcing churches to pay for contraception in defiance of the Constitution is lawless. In short, we have a lawless thug in the White House.

We shouldn’t take such accusations of the President lightly. Unfortunately the evidence is out there and it can lead to only one conclusion. Obama is a lawless thug. It really shouldn’t surprise us. After all, what do you think a socialist community organizer is? Just look at the lawless thugs leading Occupy Wall Street, look at Van Jones. That’s Obama 15 years ago. This man shouldn’t be President, he shouldn’t be re-elected. But we’re poised to re-elect this lawless thug because the Republican establishment is dumber than a box of rocks and is nominating the only guy who can’t beat him. It’s a sad time to be an American.

Failed Vetting: Obama For Socialist Healthcare, Holder For Brainwashing On Guns

Breitbart is attempting to vet Obama via a series of video and information releases. Some of this stuff is interesting but it seems a little late to be vetting the President of the United States. The information he and others have come up with show how poorly the media vetted Obama in 2008.  Other information shows how poorly the media looked into the past of his cabinet appointees and how little the Senate did in doing the same thing before confirmation. Obama and his administration were quite clear about what they wanted to do to the country. You just had to look at their past.

In 2007 Obama spoke to SEIU, the radical service employees union. SEIU is a big supporter of Occupy Wall Street and its board is full of Marxists and other leftists. In addition to Obama telling SEIU ”I’m one of you” he also spoke about healthcare. Obama admitted that his proposed Obamacare would be the intermediary between the quasi free market system we had and the future socialist system. He so much as said his goal was a government run health care system. His proposal would achieve that but not right away, it would take 5, 10, 15 or maybe 20 years to complete.

As it turns out Obamacare will do just that. When Obamacare kicks in employers will have a choice to make. They can continue with their current plan or they can dump employee healthcare and pay an 8% fine. Many employers pay15% or more on employee healthcare so for some the 8% would be a savings. The individual mandate would require individuals to buy health insurance or pay a fine. At the beginning the fine is a modest $600 but it escalates after a few years to more than the cost of a health insurance policy. So what Obama is doing is ensuring that employers give up their employee health benefits and setting up a crisis down the road which will result in people demanding government paid health insurance because employers aren’t providing it. Obamacare is just the intermediate solution before outright socialist healthcare.

Attorney General Eric Holder has been under fire from the right for the past year concerning the Fast and Furious program. You’ll recall that Fast and Furious was a program that allegedly was going to track guns and their use by Mexican drug cartels. The government either paid for illegal guns or told gun sellers to sell guns illegally to those suspected of being involved in drug cartels. Thousands of guns made their way into Mexico, being used in the murders of over 200 Mexicans and one American border patrol agent. The right has long believed this program was created in order to create a gun crisis on the border, which the Obama administration would then use to push for more gun control.

If the media or the Senate would have vetted Eric Holder they would have discovered that this fear of the right’s was completely justified. In 1995 Holder suggested the government brainwash people concerning guns. What better way to brainwash Americans than for the administration to create a crisis which of course they have the solution to? At this point it shouldn’t surprise anyone if Holder not only knew about Fast and Furious long before he claims to have known but was likely involved in its development. After all, he wants to brainwash us into opposing guns.

The media in 2008 spent twice as much time vetting the Republican’s Vice Presidential nominee than it spent vetting the future President. No one bothered to look into the backgrounds of any of Obama’s cabinet appointees. Holder isn’t the only one who has said radical things in the past, Energy Secretary Steven Chu said he wanted Americans to pay European prices for gas. When he said it, Euro gas prices were $8 a gallon. Holder and Chu have both put their radical vision into action as Cabinet members. Fast and Furious was an attempt to brainwash Americans to oppose guns and just take a look at gas prices these days. Meanwhile Obama continues writing regulations for his Obamacare act, which will lead to socialist medicine by his own words. But who in the mainstream press cares about any of this?

Obama’s Lawless Recess Appointment Power Grab Attacks Our Constitution

President Obama on Wednesday appointed five people to various positions within the executive branch. Three of these people were appointed to the National Labor Relations Board. There’s no doubt every one of the people Obama appointed is a far left radical. Their political ideology isn’t all that important though. What’s important here is that Obama appointed these people without Senate confirmation via a recess appointment. There’s only one problem: The Senate isn’t in recess.

The Constitution doesn’t allow the Senate to be in recess more than three days without approval of the House. The House has given the Senate no such approval. In fact, the Senate was open for business on Wednesday there just weren’t any Senators in town. Nevertheless the Senate was not in recess and Obama’s recess appointments were illegal and unconstitutional.

Here is what Obama said about his recess appointments:

But when Congress refuses to act, and as a result, hurts our economy and puts our people at risk, then I have an obligation as President to do what I can without them. I’ve got an obligation to act on behalf of the American people. And I’m not going to stand by while a minority in the Senate puts party ideology ahead of the people that we were elected to serve.  Not with so much at stake, not at this make-or-break moment for middle-class Americans. We’re not going to let that happen.

Apparently the President believes that it is his right and duty to act unilaterally when the Congress won’t do as he wishes. Is this not a declaration of dictatorial power by this President? This is a dangerous precedent for a President to create. What Obama is saying is that when Congress refuses to confirm appointments it is the President’s duty to appoint them via a recess appointment even if the Senate is still in session. Obama dresses up his power grab as though he’s fighting for the American people. But at the heart of Obama’s recess appointments is a massive dictatorial power grab.

Can you imagine the outrage from the left if Bush had done something like this? The left raged when Michael Bolton was appointed to the UN via a recess appointment. But Bolton was legally appointed. The Senate was on recess, the House approved the recess and therefore the recess appointment was Constitutionally valid. There’s a huge difference between that and what Obama has done. Obama has basically told the Senate if you won’t confirm my appointments, I’ll brush you aside while you’re in Session and confirm them myself.

Nancy Pelosi declared Obama’s power grab as “bold.” We both know that if Bush were President Pelosi would be outraged. The truth is if Bush had pulled this, it would have been an outrage. The Constitution trumps party loyalty in matters like this. It is illegal for a President to use his recess appointment powers when the Senate is still in session. It’s as simple as that. Obama is the first President to ever pull this stunt. He seems to believe it’s his duty to the American people but in reality what his bold move does is take power away from the people’s elected representatives in Congress. It’s not the move of a Constitutional President, it’s the move of a Presidential dictator.

The question is what is Congress going to do about this. A lawsuit ought to be filed on this matter this week. These appointments are illegal and it’s up to the judicial branch to check the power of the executive. Whether the Republicans have the guts to go through with this is anyone’s guess. It’s clear that Obama’s appointments were an illegal, lawless power grab. But whether the Republicans are willing to fight over this is up in the air. They should of course, for the sake of the Constitution.

OWS Rabble Should Blame Obama Not Wall Street

Americans standard of living has dropped around during the Obama administration. Americans are now taking, after taxes, around $1,300 less today than they were in 2008. The economy clearly isn’t growing. While Federal taxes have more or less remained steady, state and local taxes have increased substantially in the last few years. What this statistic doesn’t show is how the increased cost of healthcare, largely caused by Obamacare, has affected Americans take home pay. You can bet our income is down even more when healthcare is taken into account.

The Occupy Wall Street crowd has legitimate concerns about the economy but they have misplaced their blame. We’re not talking about the leaders of the OWS movement like Van Jones, George Soros or the unions who are in this to push socialism. We’re talking about the rank and file kids, most of whom don’t really know why they’re protesting but for some reason hate Wall Street and banks. The kids are about three years late on the blame train, even then the economic downturn was caused more so by government (through Fannie and Freddie) than Wall Street. These kids want to talk about income disparity, it begins with a government that is doing everything possible to stagnate the economy. They shouldn’t be occupying Wall Street, they should be occupying the White House. Or at least occupying the space closest to the White House that the Secret Service will let them have.

Government cost certainty is what’s keeping businesses from expanding and thus keeping jobs from being created and incomes from going up. Government regulations have created cost uncertainty for small businesses. Taxes are set to increase in 2012, which creates uncertainty in the marketplace. Obama is threatening to raise taxes, which creates uncertainty in the market. Obamacare has increased costs already and no one knows how much more it will cost once it’s fully implemented in 2014. These are all problems created by government that have had a profound affect on business. The OWS kids want to blame Wall Street but Wall Street has little say over how Obama regulates healthcare and how much he wants to increase taxes.

Wall Street and banks would love to see the economy rolling again. The better the economy is doing the more money these people will make. If the economy is rolling not only will these guys increase their wealth but those of us in the middle class will also see our wealth increase. There will be more jobs, more high paying jobs, more upward movement. It isn’t Wall Street that’s keeping the economy down at all. A lot of those guys have lost a lot of money over the past three years. They’re not keeping the economy down, government is. In particular President Obama and his policies are keeping the economy down.

The organizers of OWS know that Obama’s socialist policies are keeping the economy from thriving. They don’t care because socialism is their chief objective. But the kids, the rank and file rabble, they have no idea what socialism or capitalism even are. They’ve been fed a bunch of propaganda at their over priced universities, they’ve been fed propaganda at these protests. They’ve become group thinkers, incapable of thinking on their own when in the crowd. Unless there’s a massive revolution, which is what the organizers want, at least half of these kids will be Republicans in 10 years. The key is getting them graduated from college and out in the real world. The real world turns plenty of people into Republicans.

The OWS crowd has misplaced their anger. Their anger should be directed at President Obama who has done everything in his power to ensure that there is no economic upswing. His policies have wasted tax money and created nearly $5 trillion in new debt in just three years in office. Couple that with massive regulations and Obamacare and it is the Obama administration’s creation of uncertainty that has stifled an economic rebound. The OWS kids are three years late in blaming Wall Street. They should move their protests to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. It is Obama who is the real jobs and economic villan these days.

Obama Gets Behind Grotesque Occupiers

President Obama is embracing the Occupy Wall Street protests. He’s started using the term 99%, alleging that the grotesque occupiers represent 99% of the country. There are very clear connections between Obama and the leaders of these protests, from Van Jones and George Soros to Stephen Lerner and other union bosses. The mainstream press, even Fox News, refuse to acknowledge the connections. Now that the President is using the occupiers terms, it’s very clear that Obama is embracing them. He’s also trying to set up the 2012 election debate as Wall Street vs 99%.

Of course for Obama to get away with this he’ll need an ignorant public and a willing press. Let’s not forget that, according to Open Secrets, in 2008 Obama took in $15.8 million from Wall Street. McCain only too in $9.2 million. Wall Street wrote and lobbied for the Dodd-Frank financial reform package. We’ll also have to ignore the fact that Obama has spent the past several months touring the country going from one $30,000 a plate fundraiser to the next. Last I checked the 99% down at the Occupy protests couldn’t afford toilet paper much less a $30,000 rubber chicken dinner with the President.

Obama is desperate to cling to his power, this has become clear over the past few days. He’s in the 2012 election to win. In order to win he’s going to try to divide the country on class lines. He’s going to use Wall Street, from whom he accepted $15.8 million in donations in 2008, as his straw man to create class warfare. This isn’t the uniter he claimed to be in 2008, he’s little more than a community organizing rabble rouser who is hell bent on dividing the nation.

Whether the White House is actively involved in the Occupy protests remains to be seen. The connections are clear. It’s also clear that the people and organizations staging these events are very much supportive of Obama’s socialist agenda. The protesters themselves have little idea why they’re there, as evidenced by the fact that none of them seem to be able to explain what the point of the occupation is. They’re nothing more than useful idiots.

Wall Street is easy to hate when you’re jealous of other’s riches. But if these people were so opposed to Wall Street where were they when the financial meltdown began in 2008? Where were they in 2009 and 2010 when stock market was all over the place? Where were they when Dodd-Frank was being debated? We’re supposed to believe these people got outraged in the middle of September and felt the need to occupy and destroy a park in lower Manhattan without any organization or any connection to the White House? Give me a break.

The occupy protests began a few weeks after Obama’s jobs speech. They were planned for the last year and a half. They were originally planned for last May and were pushed back to September, likely to coordinate with the White House. This whole thing is being organized by a group of socialists and marxists who are using these moronic college students to push an agenda they don’t even understand. In fact, most of the people down there don’t even know why they’re there. And Obama is supporting them, using the term 99%. There is absolutely a connection.

In the end we have a choice in 2012. The choice is between big government and small government. Obama is attempting to set the debate as Wall Street against the 99%. He’s using the Occupy protests to do this and the media is going right along with it. Have you noticed all the positive stories about these protests, nearly one a night on every channel. The Tea Party had 9 stories during the entire year in 2009, all of them negative. So the media is completely on board with Obama and the Occupiers. We conservatives have to get the message out on our own that the choice isn’t between Wall Street and everyone else. The choice is between Obama’s big government socialism and freedom.

Public Is Losing Confidence In Obama

The Obama administration can’t even get all the Democrat Senators on board with his jobs bill. Now he’s sent out Vice President Joe Biden, who claimed in Flint, Michigan yesterday there would be less rape if only the jobs bill was passed. The administration has officially reached desperation level if they’re claiming rapes won’t happen because of their jobs bill. Now all we need is a photo op with a grandma eating a can of Alpo so that the Democrats can successfully display every stereotype of a liberal out there.

This sort of nonsense harkens to the days of 2008 and 2009 when Obama was cast as the great Messiah of America. Obama could do no wrong and there were more than a few Americans would would have believed Biden if he said at that time that the Stimulus would prevent rape. No one questioned the administration, we weren’t allowed to. After all, Obama won the election. He was also the Messiah with a filibuster proof Congress who could do as he pleased.

Fast forward to today and Obama is no longer the Messiah. His own rabble are out in the streets depending other people pay for their college education, spouting anti-Semitic statements and defecating on cop cars. The economy hasn’t gotten any better and the public elected a Republican House because of Obamacare. The administration is faced with one scandal after another these days. Obama isn’t the Messiah, he’s barely even listened to anymore. We’re to the point where Vice President Biden’s rape statement isn’t met with outrage but with laughter.

How did this happen to Obama? The decline of this President has been remarkable. Bush didn’t have poll numbers like Obama’s until his second administration. Clinton always rebounded from his low points. In fact, when Clinton gave State of the Union speeches his poll numbers always shot up at least 10 points. Obama’s numbers didn’t go up at all after his jobs speech. People have tuned him out.

The public has tuned Obama out because every positive thing Obama has said about his plans has turned out to be incorrect. The Stimulus didn’t keep unemployment under 8%. Obamacare did not reduce the cost of health insurance, in fact it increased substantially after Obamacare passed. The financial reform package didn’t reform anything and in fact caused banks to increase consumer fees. Beyond that, Obama goes overseas and apologizes for America. He even tried to apologize for nuking Japan during World War Two, which saved a million American lives and millions of Japanese.

Obama has lost the confidence of the American people. There are growing reports of Obama becoming estranged from his own administration, quitting work at 4pm, disappearing into an office in the evening for hours on end doing who knows what, not giving access to anyone in his cabinet and only speaking with Valerie Jarrett. We’re beginning to see a picture of a President who doesn’t really know what he’s doing, who doesn’t know how to manage as an executive. This picture fits with all of Obama’s previous failures and his refusal to get involved in the legislative and political process. He simply doesn’t know how to lead.

It’s going to be very difficult for Obama to regain the confidence of the general public. The election is a year away and a lot can happen in that time. The economy can turn around and that would do a lot for the public’s confidence in the President. The Republicans could nominate the wrong candidate (read: Rick Perry and pretty much anyone not named Mitt or Herman) who will instill in the public less confidence than Obama. If things continue as they are now, with the public tuning Obama out and laughing at the ridiculous statements of his Vice President, Obama is toast next November.

Rage-Aholic Leftist Protests Won’t Gain Traction

The rage-aholic leftist “occupy” Wall Street protests are little more than a highly organized Astroturf effort of unions such as SEIU and Marxists such as Van Jones. These protests aren’t an organic uprising seeking to confront current issues. Instead, they have been organized months and years in advance as evidenced by this video. The upper middle class white college kids, who I mockingly called hobo chic yesterday, are just useful idiots who have been worked into a frenzy over essentially nothing. I’m sure most of them will be asking their parents to send them pizza money for their weekend of speaking “truth” to essentially no one in power.

The question here is whether or not these protests will have any traction for the left. It’s clear that Obama is part of this, he specifically singled out and attacked banks in his campaign presser yesterday. Banks are of course the target of these protests. Nearly every group involved in these protests has a direct connection to Obama. SEIU, Van Jones, Students for a Democratic Society, Moveon.org, Tides Foundation etc. All of them have direct connections with Obama and he has passively supported the Occupy Wall Street movement.

While Obama is involved, however passively, it isn’t going to gain traction for the left. We’ve already had massive left-wing protests this  year and it’s done nothing for the leftist movement. The protests in Wisconsin following Gov. Scott Walker’s decision to limit government employee union’s power provided no traction for leftists or Democrats. The Wisconsin protests were more organic, meaning they were more spontaneous and less organized than the Occupy Wall Street protests. They also had a direct enemy, Scott Walker is a Republican and the Wisconsin Legislature is controlled by Republicans.

In the end the leftists lost in Wisconsin. They didn’t defeat the bill and they were unsuccessful at recalling Republican legislators. Their movement fizzled out and ultimately public support for the unions fizzled as well. The current protests are highly organized, they’ve been planned for months and years. But their guy is in the White House and their party controls half of Congress. So why are they going to attack? House Republicans who have been in power for 9 months?

In the end, the Days of Rage, Occupy Wall Street protests will not gain traction for the left. They’ll fizzle out as the temperature drops and they’ll be forgotten about by the end of November. Americans are already turned off to the violent nature of these rallies, with hundreds having been arrested already. The term ‘occupy’ itself is going to turn off many middle of the road Americans who still have respect for law and order. The fact that many of these protesters don’t even know what they’re protesting or what their goals are makes it awful hard for people to want to jump on board.

In the end it’s difficult, if not impossible, to have a successful protest movement when your guy is sitting in the White House. Wisconsin had a shot at gaining traction because it was focused on an opposition Governor. Wisconsin fizzled for the left. There’s no reason to believe the Van Jones, SEIU, astro-turf rage-aholic Wall Street occupiers won’t fizzle out as well. At the end of the day, the American public isn’t going to get on board with a group whose goals are nebulous and whose tactics are destructive and violent.

White House Fails To Prep For Scandal Explanations

It’s been an interesting week for scandal in the Obama administration. The Fast and Furious scandal has shown that Attorney General Eric Holder knew about the ATF plot nearly a year prior to the time he told Congress he knew about it. The CBS reporter who broke the story was yelled at by a DOJ official and screamed and cursed at by a White House official. Meanwhile Solyndra was nearly given an additional $400 million prior to their bankruptcy and Energy Department emails suggest they were concerned about the cozy relationship between major Obama campaign donors and the loan. Our interest today is in the administration’s reaction to these scandals.

On Wednesday Jay Carney was finally asked about Fast and Furious, the first time the subject has been brought up in his daily press briefings in over three months. He had no answer, only saying that Obama fully supported Eric Holder. Yesterday at the President’s “Pass This Bill” campaign presser from the White House, Obama said exactly the same thing. He offered no opinion on Fast and Furious, he said nothing about Eric Holder.

Jay Carney’s response was ridiculous. He had to have known that Jake Tapper was going to ask him about Fast and Furious, yet he looked surprised and he didn’t have a real answer. He didn’t even punt by saying nothing more than ‘go ask the Department of Justice.” Carney is Obama’s spokesman and didn’t have an answer. Then yesterday Obama says the same thing. He had to have known he was going to be asked about Fast and Furious, yet he had no answer. That suggests that the Obama administration doesn’t care at all about Fast and Furious, they likely don’t think it’s a problem.

But it is a problem. The ATF sold guns to or otherwise allowed guns to get into the hands of Mexican drug cartels. The result is there is at least one American dead and over 200 Mexicans dead. The Attorney General has been given at least 5 memos on this topic since July of 2010, yet he told Congress last May he had only known about Fast and Furious for a couple weeks. Even if we believe Holder, meaning we believe he didn’t read the memos but had underlings read them for him, doesn’t that suggest that the Justice Department is in chaos? It’s one thing to have underlings read memos for the Attorney General, he surely gets a lot of memos. But wouldn’t you think that one of the underlings would have raised a red flag and said something like, hey wait a minute we shouldn’t be giving guns to Mexican drug cartels? One would think that someone would alert Mr. Holder, yet they didn’t.

The Justice Department is clearly in chaos. Yet the President doesn’t seem to care. He doesn’t care that that an American is dead and 200 Mexicans are dead thanks to these guns that were illegally purchased by drug lords with the ATF’s knowledge or sold by the ATF to said drug lords. People are dead and the President could care less. He can’t even bother to say anything more than he supports Eric Holder in a press conference. He’s either not being prepped properly or he truly doesn’t care about the scandal. Either way, it suggests the administration has a major problem.

Moving on to Solyndra, Obama has declared throughout the week that he thought the company was a “good bet.” Government as venture capitalist is a terrible idea. It’s one thing for a venture capitalist to invest his own money in risky companies. It’s another thing for the government to invest tax money into a politically connected company that everyone knows is on shaky financial ground. It’s not the job of the government to bet tax money on businesses, politically connected or otherwise.

The President’s flippant remarks once again suggest he doesn’t care about the Solyndra scandal. It’s clear he believes government should play venture capitalist with tax money. That’s it’s own problem. But he doesn’t care at all about the fact that he’s being accused of giving preferential treatment to a major campaign donor. It’s not clear whether he doesn’t get that he’s being accused of anything shady or if he simply thinks he’s above it all. Either way he’s projecting arrogance, he appears to not care that half a billion tax dollars were wasted on Solyndra, not to mention millions more on other connected green companies.

One of Obama’s biggest problems since becoming President is the inability of his administration to project a clear message and the inability of his administration to respond to crisis. Obama is often not properly prepped for press conferences. Sure, he has his talking points down for the major issues  he’s pushing. However he clearly wasn’t prepped to talk about Fast and Furious yesterday even though everyone knew he would be asked about it. The alternative is that he just doesn’t care, which is even worse. Go back to 2009 when he said the cop acted “stupidly” in an arrest of a liberal professor friend of Obama’s. He clearly wasn’t prepped about the subject, even though everyone knew he would be asked about the arrest.

It’s not clear why Obama isn’t prepped properly. Perhaps he doesn’t take prepping for pressers seriously, maybe he’s arrogant enough to believe he can handle it all on his own or maybe he’s to lazy to seriously engage when being prepped. Or perhaps his underlings are afraid to confront him with bad news and thus afraid to prep him to discuss bad news. Either way, it’s clear the administration isn’t handling Fast and Furious or Solyndra very well. They don’t seem to grasp how serious the allegations are and they don’t seem to grasp how poor they look to the American people right now. Obama’s numbers are down this week again, these two issues are why.

Hobo Chic Wall Street Protesters Amusing Tools Of Radical Leftists

I’ve been watching the “occupy” Wall Street protests with both concern and amusement. These protests are not spontaneous like the Tea Party, they’re highly organized by leftist groups funded by George Soros. If one cared to pay attention, the extreme left has been talking about these protests for months. They didn’t just magically happen. Stephen Lerner, Van Jones, Richard Trumka, Francis Fox Piven and other leftists have been talking about creating protests to rival the Arab Spring since March. These are not organic protests born out of actual frustration and anger, they’re manufactured.

The leftist goals are certainly concerning. These people want to bring down Capitalism, they want to destroy the finances of this country. One portion of this group wants to bring down the New York Stock Exchange next Monday. Stephen Lerner and company are quite up front about supporting economic terrorism. Surely their goals are concerning as well, they seek socialism. They seek to destroy the successful. Worse, they want to prevent the successful from earning a better life for themselves. This should be the most concerning part of these rallies for those who love freedom and believe in hard work.

Have you noticed something about the Occupy Wall Street, Days of Rage protesters? They all look like white, upper middle class college students. They’re all worked up into a frenzy by their moronic professors or by street agitators because they imagine there won’t be any jobs for them when they graduate. They’re all dressed hobo chic, their outfits are all very well coordinated to look like a hobo. It’s as though one of those tv fashion designers has put out a hobo line. Yet each of these hobo chic college students can be seen playing around with their capitalist i-phone or other internet gizmo. They all look well fed. They’re all sleeping in capitalist sleeping bags. The hobo chic upper middle class college kids are really representing “the people” with their i-phones, full bellies and designer chic clothing.

Meanwhile their list of demands is ridiculous. They want to have everything without working for it. They want college education to be “free” so that they can waste their time on someone else’s dime. They want all debt forgiven, meaning that no one has to work for anything that they have. They want socialist healthcare and inflated salaries via a $20 minimum wage. They want trillions spent on infrastructure and forests. They want no border. These hobo chic brats playing protest down on Wall Street obviously never learned anything about economics in college. If these people knew anything about economics, they would understand that their proposals are untenable.

These hobo chic kids are nothing but useful idiots, tools of the radical left who are using them to obtain power for themselves. These fools are motivated by laziness and boredom. Their parents probably didn’t spank them enough as children and probably gave them everything they wanted. Now that they’re adults they don’t want to work for anything themselves and want to be handed everything like children. About half of them will come to their senses in a couple years when they graduate and stop smoking pot. The other half will forever expect someone else to pay their way.

The problem though is that they’re being used by people like Van Jones and Stephen Lerner for their own purposes. The leaders seek economic terrorism. They seek to fundamentally change America into a socialist, if not communist nation. The hobo chic morons chanting incoherently in the streets are nothing but tools. They don’t even understand what they’re protesting. While their comments are usually amusing and their coordinated, just so hobo chic outfits with i-phone accessories are amusing, the goals of the leaders are dangerous. Make no mistake, this isn’t an organic protest. It is highly organized with specific, dangerous goals.

Democrats To Blame For Bank of America Debit Fees

Late last week Bank of America announced that they would be charging $5 per month for debit card users who use their cards to make purchases. This prompted Democrat Sen. Dick Durbin to urge a run on Bank of America. At first glance the action by Bank of America looks outrageous. But you have to do more than scratch the surface of this story. It is in fact Dick Durbin, Democrat Senator, who is partially to thank for the new bank fee.

Last year the Democrats passed a bill that limits the ability of debit card companies to charge swipe fees. Each time you use your debit card or credit card the merchant is charged a swipe fee, for credit cards it’s around 2-3%. Debit cards have always had different fees than credit cards, often a flat fee of around 44 cents per swipe. Durbin’s law reduced swipe fees to 24 cents per swipe, a nearly 50% reduction. That has left issuers of debit cards looking for ways to make up the government ordered lost revenue.

It was entirely predictable that Bank of America would start charging debit card users for using their debit card. The Federal government has more or less shifted the cost of debit cards from merchants to banks with the banks shifting the cost to consumers. In the end consumers are paying more for products and services because of government. Government lowered the cost of swipe fees for merchants but the merchants never passed the savings onto customers. Now consumers are paying for essentially the same swipe fee plus they’re going to pay for the revenue their bank lost because of government action.

It isn’t popular to defend banks but in this case it is absolutely necessary. They’re only charging their debit card customers because government cut their debt card revenue in half. It isn’t cheap to offer debit cards, there is internal infrastructure needed to offer these cards. They’re a convenience for customers and they do cost something. Bank of America needs to make sure their accounts can be accused by merchants, they need to produce cards and make sure they get to the right people and there are hundreds if not thousands of support staff necessary for a major bank like Bank of America to offer debit cards. If they can’t charge merchants for the convenience of not having to take cash, they’re either going to pass the cost onto their own customers or they’re not going to offer debit cards.

This situation is the classic government debacle when they enter into the marketplace to support a politically connected group over a politically hated group. Government didn’t foresee or didn’t care about the consequences of their actions. Most people in Congress never bothered to consider that banks might pass costs onto their customers when revenue was taken away from them by government order. Those that did consider that possibility likely didn’t care because they hate banks in the first place and they knew they would be able to raise a stink about new fees in order to attack banks. As far as the Dick Durbin’s of Congress were concerned, forcing banks to raise fees on their customers gave them another stick with which to beat down the banks and score cheap political points.

If you’re a Bank of America customer when they charge you a fee for using your debit card remember that it is Democrats in Congress who are responsible. They forced your bank’s hand. If you think that getting out of Bank of America will save you from this fee, think again. Within a year all the banks will have this fee. Other banks may not have the fee now but after the Bank of America firestorm fades into the forgotten past (around next week) they’ll create the fee themselves. It will all be because of Democrats in Congress, you’ll have them to thank for the fees.
