Left Finally Beginning To Admit Climate Change A Farse

The British left-wing publication The Economist has had the unmitigated audacity to point out that global warming hasn’t occurred in a decade. The Economist has been harping climate change/global warming for years. They note that 25% of the man made CO2 since 1750 was released during the last decade yet there is no evidence of global warming. World temperatures are flat. They have arguably been flat for 20 years. No doubt The Economist will be labeled a heretic publication by diehard climate change adherents. Such people have taken this issue to near religious levels of faith. For the rest of us, it confirms our skepticism and it confirms our opposition to massive government intrusion into our economic lives.

The environmentalist left made a fundamental error decades ago. They tried to scare to world into supporting their socialist policies by making up wild stories about the world practically ending if we didn’t “do something” about global warming. When I was a kid, in 5th grade, we were taught that in a few years there would be no Amazon Rainforest. It was a total lie of course but generally speaking 5th graders aren’t in a position to know that. From there we’ve been told tales of rising oceans, stifling heat, massive weather events and the end of civilization as we know it. None of it has happened.

Even with the media hyping every weather event, most people have retained at least a bit of common sense. It’s hot in the summer here in the US, it’s hardly shocking when it hits 100 for a week or two. There are hurricanes that hit the southeast and Gulf coast, it’s hardly surprising when they happen. In fact, they’re down over the past few years and their intensity isn’t nearly as high today as it was in the 50′s and 60′s. There are big thunderstorms in the plains and midwest, it’s hardly surprising when they happen and it’s surely no evidence of some sort of dire man made climate change that will end civilization.

Just a few years ago the media was hyping the “hottest” summer ever in Europe. Where are they now as Europe experiences cold winters and mild summers? Just because it’s hot during a few summers in the two parts of the Earth that are dominated by the world’s media, it doesn’t prove global warming. In fact, world temperatures are at best flat over the last 20 years. All of the dire predictions have been proven wrong. The oceans aren’t rising, civilization isn’t threatened, weather isn’t dramatically changing. In short, the socialists made a fundamental error when they decided to try to scare people into action. They didn’t take into account that 1. countries wouldn’t do much and 2. that their predictions would turn out wrong.

With all of the dire predictions proven false, no one believes the climate change socialists anymore. No one is particularly scared about the future of weather and as such no one is compelled to demand action. In fact, m0st people laugh at the foolishness of it all. No doubt climate change still has it’s diehard believers. Some are scientists who have staked their careers and reputations on climate change. They’re unlikely to change no matter how inaccurate their predictions are, to do so would admit their careers were a waste and a failure. There are still socialists out there who view climate change as a means to an end but even these folks are beginning to look elsewhere for such a means. In short, climate change is a crock, we all know it and the left is just beginning to acknowledge the lie.

There Is No Global Warming

So-called global warming stopped 16 years ago. This according to the UK Meteorological Office, which for years has insisted that man made global warming was true. Those of us who have been skeptics of global warming (renamed climate change by socialists who have known for some time that global warming wasn’t happening) aren’t surprised by these findings at all. From the 30′s to the late 70′s there was no warming at all, in fact there was some global cooling. From 1980-1996 there was a slight warming. Since 1996 there hasn’t been any global warming at all. This all suggests that the global warming theory, as pushed by scientists and politicians, isn’t right.

The media of course won’t report any of this. Have you noticed the last few months all sorts of articles whining about the lack of Arctic ice? This is supposed to be evidence of global warming, after all if there wasn’t any warming then there wouldn’t be less ice at the North Pole. While the media spends there time fretting about global warming destroying Arctic ice, they’re ignoring the fact that there is record ice in Antarctica. In other words, while ice at one pole has melted the other pole has seen substantial ice increase. Because the media doesn’t report the record ice in Antarctica, people only see the Arctic ice melt and assume global warming is true.

Global warming has always been a flimsy theory. It’s largely based on computer models, of course those models require scientists to put data into them. These scientists, who are largely funded by governments, have reason to put data in that will give them the result that those who fund them want to hear. Governments love global warming because it gives pols and bureaucrats a reason to regulate our lives and businesses even more. They whip up hysteria over the fear of global warming and the alleged catastrophe they say it will be. Then people are more willing to give up their freedom to the government. Scientists know who butters their bread and so they produce studies that just so happen to recommend more government and more regulation.

Yet to say this makes one a conspiracy theorist or it makes one as associate of “big business.” You see, those who oppose global warming must hate the world and want us all to die or something like that. In fact, those who oppose the notion of man made global warming see right through the leftist lies. There is no global warming and even if there is there isn’t a shred of evidence that it is caused by man. Furthermore, there isn’t a shred of evidence that government could do anything to reverse global warming. It is absolutely illogical to believe that governments can control the temperature of the entire world via business regulations.

History shows us that the temperature of the Earth fluctuates. The period of the Renaissance was a high point in terms of global temperatures. They were higher than they are today, so high in fact that citrus fruits and grapes were grown in abundance in England. In fact, English wine was regarded as better than French wine at the time. That all changed with the mini ice age, which caused famine all over the world. It is the mini ice age that the world is slowly breaking away from today. All of these events happened before the rise of international governments, massive capitalistic multinational corporations, the assembly line or modern technology of any kind. Government was powerless to prevent the ice age, it was powerless to prevent the warming which brought plenty to the entire world during the Renaissance.

Government is powerless to control the climate today. Deep in their hearts, leftists know this to be the case. That won’t stop them from demanding regulations in a vain attempt to do what they are powerless to do. Their goals have nothing to do with actually controlling the climate though. Their goal is power and control over business and our lives. The socialist left will stop at nothing. They’ll make up a false crisis, pay scientists to create false data and lie through their teeth for decades on end to get what they want. Unfortunately the facts just don’t line up with the left’s desires. There is no global warming and no amount of game playing by changing the phrase to climate change can change the fact that their theory is false.

New Global Cooling Study Won’t Deter Climate Socialists

A NASA and University of Arizona study suggests there hasn’t been global warming since 1997. In fact, the study suggests that we are headed towards a cooling period. They base all of this off of sun spot and other sun related activities. The study of course bows to its global warming masters by suggesting the cooling will be offset by man bade carbons. They have no choice but to say this, otherwise the leftists who control the academy will either completely ignore the report or they’ll go on the rampage and disparage personally everyone involved.

Those on the right are jumping for joy over the vast majority of the report. Finally a comprehensive study largely dispels the rumor mongering of the socialist, global warming left. Let’s be honest with ourselves though, we knew this all along but it doesn’t change anything. The truth has never mattered to the far left. We’re dealing with people who believe the ends justify the means. In the 70′s the left touted global cooling and proposed all sorts of government regulations and restrictions on individual freedom. When global cooling didn’t work out they moved to global warming. We all know the dire predictions the left has made, all without basis. They even went so far as to hedge their bets, calling it climate change rather than global warming over the last several years.

For the left it doesn’t matter whether the issue is global warming or global cooling. One prong of their socialist goal is to play on one of the base fears of mankind: massive weather disasters. It doesn’t matter whether the fear mongering is based in reality or not. The goal is to force socialism down the throats of Americans and the world. The goal is to limit individual freedom. Scaring people over weather is just one way they seek this.

So for us on the right, we cannot for a second believe we’ve won some big battle. We’ve done no such thing. The left will drift to one theory after another, scaring people all along the way. If we want to win a big victory, we have to connect these scientists to the socialists. We have to do a better job of calling into question the credibility of people who receive their funding from the government. We have to expose the failure of all of the global warming socialists long term goals, none of which have ever materialized.

We’ll also have to call into question government regulations. Obama’s venture socialism green energy program, which had three bankruptcies last week alone, is one thing. But there are hundreds of government programs and there are dozens of government propaganda programs largely directed at government school children. Most of these programs provide no actual benefit to the environment but they do cost businesses billions and they cost individuals freedom.

This battle is more than just one study or one theory. The battle really has nothing to do with the environment. The environment and climate in particular is little more than the talking point for a wider war between socialism and liberty. In this war, those who love freedom and liberty are being badly defeated. Largely because we’re focused on the details of the talking point while the left couldn’t care less about the talking point itself. The environmental and climate talking points shift around on the left to much for them to really care. What they care about is socialism. The sooner the right recognizes that this is what the climate change hysteria is really all about the better.

Climategate 2.0 Exposes More Leftist Scientific Fraud

Climategate 2.0 has begun. Thousands of leaked emails show leftist climate scientists conspiring to smear opponents and manipulate or falsify data. It also shows connections between those scientists and government officials, coordinating their efforts to manipulate and smear. This sort of thing ought not surprise any of us. Leftist climate scientists sold their scientific souls to the left years ago.

Leftist scientists always like to point out the ‘big oil’ or corporate associations of their opponents. It’s as though they believe that their money, which comes from government, is clean. It has never been so. In exchange for massive funding, leftist scientists have sold their scientific souls to socialists. The arrangement is pretty obvious. Scientists are paid to “study” global warming and come up with dire predictions and dubious warnings meant to scare people. Their solution is always government intervention. Socialists seize on unwarranted public fear, pass laws, restrict business and freedom and pay off their pals in science with more funding. The cycle replays over and over again.

But of course, no one in the media talks about this. The media, which is also in bed with the left, is only terribly concerned with scientists having corporate connections. Only then is their credibility challenged. Government paid scientists have no such credibility challenge from the media. But they should. We have seen government corruption on all levels for centuries. Why in the world would we assume that government paid scientists are pristine? Why would we not question their findings and more so question whether their findings have anything to do with obtaining more funding?

In the last three years there have thousands of emails released from these scientists which show that they manipulate data, smear opponents without cause and are working with government to push a socialist agenda. This isn’t science that these people are pushing, it’s propaganda. They’re essentially using science as a front for their propaganda. In a nation and world that has, unfortunately, turned to science to explain everything the extreme left has used it to their great advantage. People are all to trusting of all things science, knowing this the left co-opted climate science to push for socialism.

The arguments of government climate scientists never made any sense. Their dire predictions were all to dramatic to be believed. Whenever they turned out to be false, the media ignored the predictions as though they never existed. There are no rising oceans, there is no increase in global temperatures, there are no dead polar bears. These people don’t even believe in their dire predictions. Al Gore has spent the last decade whining about rising oceans yet he spent millions on an ocean front condo in San Francisco a few years ago. If the Oceans were going to rise and overtake coastal cities, why did Gore buy a condo on the beach?

The truth is that the climate scientists who receive government funding have incentive to issue reports that further the position of government. What is the goal of government, particularly government bureaucrats? More power. What are the solutions to global warming? They always involve massive government action and a decrease in personal freedom. Scientists are paid to create hysteria so that government can swoop in and take power in order to “save” us from a non-existent threat. It’s quite a racket. Thankfully the internet is exposing it as the fraud that it is.

Al Gore Unhinged Climate Change Caused By Cosmic Ray’s

Last week Al Gore hysterically declared that people who deny man-made global warming are this generation’s racists. He likened man-made climate change skeptics to Bull Conner. Gore has been increasingly hysterical in his attacks on climate change skeptics and now we perhaps know why. CERN, an international government funded science organization, has quietly released a paper declaring that man isn’t responsible for global warming at all. CERN has determined that the sun and cosmic rays are responsible.

You may wonder why CERN would release this study so quietly. They did so because the governments who fund CERN ordered them to do so. In fact, not only did governments force CERN to release this study quietly, they forced them to include a disclaimer. All of this after scientists at CERN spent more than a decade trying to get funding for their study. Governments didn’t want to fund a study that might disprove man-made global warming. In fact not only did governments try to make sure this study never happened, leading man-made global warming theorists declared that anyone who questioned their theory was a crackpot. These scientists were successful in smearing the CERN scientists who conducted this study for nearly a decade.

Al Gore and his cohorts have declared that anyone who questions them is “anti-science.” In fact, over the past couple of months the far left has gone on a smear campaign declaring Republicans to be “anti-science.” It’s all a coordinated effort to paint skeptics as anti-science dolts who shouldn’t be listened to. It shouldn’t surprise anyone that Gore and the far left have known what CERN was going to publish and have thus spent the last two months attacking their opponents. But in doing this, Gore and company prove themselves to be anti-science. For they are unwilling to consider any science that goes against their pre-conceived ideas. They’re modern day flat earth theorists, unwilling to listen to any opposing argument.

Gore and his band of climate change theorists have a lot to lose if their theory is disproven. Gore has made tens of millions off of global warming hysteria. One of his companies has received over half a billion in tax money. Climate change scientists have received billions in government subsidies to reach the conclusion that man is responsible for global warming. Their ‘solutions’ include granting more power to the governments which paid for the studies. If man isn’t responsible for global warming, then these scientists and their studies will no longer be funded. They stand to lose billions in government money if the CERN scientists and other global warming skeptics are proven right.

This is why Al Gore is running around calling skeptics racists. It’s why the far left looks the other way when their scientists manipulate and hide data like they did at East Anglia. It’s why man-made global warming scientists smear scientists who disagree with them. At the end of the day you have to ask yourself when these left-wing scientists (or any scientist for that matter) became infallible. Since when is science infallible? The left would have us believe that it is, which is why their global warming theories border on religion. They are uninterested in hearing any argument which calls their position into question. In fact, if you question them you’re nothing but the equivalent of a modern day Bull Conner, a dolt or someone with questionable ethical ties. Al Gore and company are about as interested in truth as pathological liars. The left’s response to CERN has proven that.

Al Gore Demands Smaller Families To Protect His False God

Al Gore is in the news today. Not only is the radical environmentalist attacking the Obama administration for not being radical enough in an upcoming issue of Rolling Stone, the former Vice President also wants us to, for the sake of Mother Earth, have less children.

Gore drones on about educating women, as though they’re currently moronic cattle in need of Gore’s enlightenment. If only those dumb women were educated, then they wouldn’t have as many children! Gore’s full quote:

One of the things we could do about it is to change the technologies, to put out less of this pollution, to stabilize the population, and one of the principle ways of doing that is to empower and educate girls and women. You have to have ubiquitous availability of fertility management so women can choose how many children have, the spacing of the children.

You have to lift child survival rates so that parents feel comfortable having small families and most important — you have to educate girls and empower women. And that’s the most powerful leveraging factor, and when that happens, then the population begins to stabilize and societies begin to make better choices and more balanced choices.

Obviously Gore supports abortion and this is one of the biggest ways to save dear Mother Earth from a bunch of wretched children. By better choices, Gore of course means not having children. As though children are some sort of sinister monster. Gore takes the anti-life position to its logical conclusion. If women were only educated they would make better choices and either kill their children or not have them at all. Gore really doesn’t care about women, if he did perhaps he would oppose the female specific abortion holocaust, which stands at around 163 million female babies aborted because they’re female worldwide. The number could be even higher.

But of course, Gore, like the feminists, doesn’t really care about women. People like Gore look at the 163 million statistic and rejoice over the fact that those children were never born. This is man who worships the Earth rather than God.

And what are we to make of Gore’s call to ‘educate’ women. We must not forget who controls education, both in American and throughout the developed world. It isn’t the church or private industry that runs schools, it’s government. Who runs government schools? Progressives of course. Gore isn’t even talking about properly educating women, all he’s talking about is feeding women a bunch of progressive propaganda. If only women around the world were fed anti-Christian, secular progressive propaganda, then they wouldn’t have children! This is key to understanding what Gore is really talking about.

Our culture has long since shifted from one that viewed life and children as a blessing to one that views children as an unnecessary nuisance and bother. Gore wants to take it one step further and seeks to demonize children as little destroyers of his god. It wasn’t long ago that a family of four children was so common place as to not be noticed. I cannot tell you how many times my little family is either glared at by people at the grocery store or stopped to be told how busy we must be with so many children. The latter group is generally just being nice, but it amazes me the glares we get from people even when our kids are perfectly behaved. (If we have a screaming kid, I expect to be glared at because we’re annoying everyone else)

We must not fail to see the connections between Gore’s call for smaller families and abortion. We must also connect the dots between Gore’s call for “education” and the progressive propaganda machines called government schools. When we piece it all together, Gore’s statements become clear. He obviously wants more abortion and he he also wants more propaganda from the progressive government schools demonizing children and setting up Earth as a god. Clearly there is no place for Christian schools or private schools in Gore’s demands. As Christians, we must reject Gore’s demonization of children as well as his Earth worship. Furthermore, I dare say we need to protect our children from these increasingly godless and wicked government schools.

Progressives Preach Doom and Gloom “Full Earth”

The environmentalist wackos are always good for a laugh. The only problem with them is that they are deadly serious and have connections to socialists and other big government types who are all to willing to use so-called climate change as an excuse to push socialism on the US and the world. Last week one environmentalist crazy suggested that those of us who deny climate change as they define it should be tattooed. The writer backed off his statement toward the end of his editorial but the message is clear, it is acceptable to brand and attack people who dare to question saintly scientists and their big government benefactors.

NY Times Columnist Thomas Friedman declared yesterday that the Earth was full. A full Earth explains why food prices are rising according to Friedman and it is a signal that massive social upheaval is going to happen throughout the world. Let’s ignore Friedman’s misunderstanding of economics (food prices are rising because of a weak dollar, government regulations and because we’re burning our food as ethanol) and focus on a full Earth and massive social upheaval.

A declaration of a full Earth is essentially a license for government to kill children or prevent children from being born. While Friedman notes environmental problems in China, proponents of a full Earth must adore China’s one child policy. After all, if Earth is full then less humans should be on the planet. One way to achieve that is to kill off all the old people. Not being politically expedient to kill off the old folks, killing off the unborn is much easier. It stands to reason that if Earth is full the best way to reduce the number of people is to prevent children from being born. A one child policy would, in theory, reduce the number of people in the world by half in a generation or two. That’s great for Earth worshipers but it isn’t so hot for those of us who believe life is a blessing from God and who desire a large family or for those of us who don’t buy the full Earth line.

 Friedman predicts massive social upheaval in the next century because of climate change. This argument goes hand in hand with the progressive desire for massive social upheaval and change. The progressives want to separate us from our historic Christian and capitalist past and create a new socialist civilization. The climate change, Earth worshiper types want to destroy western civilization and capitalism and create an environmentally friendly paradise. You can see why far left progressives are almost always advocates of the faulty climate change theories. By scaring people into believing the Earth is in danger, they can push for the radical progressive change they so desire.

While it may be 90 outside today, the fact is the Earth is not warming and it hasn’t since 1998. Over the past several years dozens of prominent climate change scientists have been exposed as frauds and snake oil salesmen. Over the past two decades, hundreds of laws in nations throughout the world have shown to have little to no affect on the environment, despite being enacted with great environmental fanfare. Climate change is a fraud, it is nothing more than a means to push a big government, anti-freedom end. Earth is not full, we are not suffering from global warming and the environment is just fine. The far left is lying to you because they want power over you and your life.

Apple Declared “Least Green” Tech Company

I have long found Apple to be the sort of company that caters to snotty limousine liberals and dumb college students. Their latest catch line “if you don’t have an iPhone, well, you don’t have an iPhone” is about as snotty and condescending as they come. It’s perfect for the sort of company that has legions of left-wing followers camped out in their stores doing essentially nothing. This supposedly environmentally friendly company has Al Gore on its board of directors, thus confirming everything I’ve ever thought about Apple.  Apple pulls around a 43% profit on its sales but of course you’ll never hear the left complain. Only oil with its paltry 8% profit is evil.

Left-wing Greenpeace has declared that Apple is the “least green” tech company. I’m sure Al Gore is shocked, shocked to discover that a company for which he sits on the board of directors is considered the “least green.” Of course this goes right along with Al Gore’s do as I say not as I do environmentalism. You’ll recall he has multiple homes across the US. His mansion in Tennessee has some 30,000 square feet and has an electric bill over $10,000 a month. But hey, he plants trees so it’s carbon neutral! I wonder if Apple is doing the same thing.

Saturday is Earth worship day and the media has been busy promoting it. The whole world will come to an end if we don’t bow down and worship Earth and then “save” it from essentially nothing. The EPA has even gotten into the act with a strange, kid friendly rap filled with inaccuracies and inane lyrics. This is the sort of garbage that kids are being fed at the government schools. When I was in 5th grade in the late 80′s we were told that the Amazon rainforest wouldn’t exist in 5 years. It’s still there and is arguably stronger for having been cut down in certain places. We were told acid rain would destroy all of our water. No such thing ever happened of course but facts don’t matter when schools are feeding propaganda to children.

I promise you that in the media Earth Day will receive more attention than Easter, in fact it already has this week. I am no fan of Easter (I oppose holy days not found in scripture) but I can certainly see what’s going on in the media. They hate Christians and will avoid presenting the Christian faith in anything other than a negative light. The media loves the left-wing, socialist nature of Earth Day so it is heavily promoted. Of course anyone who doesn’t go green on Saturday is “corporate” and therefore evil. The left loves its smears.

But of course the left is only interested in crying corporate when they don’t like the corporations they’re attacking. The left-wing media loves to bash oil companies and coal companies. Liberals love to attack energy generally. Even energy they once liked, such as natural gas, becomes the object of scorn and attack if it becomes cheap. Greenpeace ought to be given at least a little credit, they were willing to call out Apple for its alleged green unfriendly ways. They at least seem to be true believers in their misguided green demands. This is unlike Al Gore who is only green if it financially suits him.

Sadly, the story will be largely ignored in the media and the left will continue frequenting Apple while lobbing attacks at the oil industry. There are true Earth worshipers on the left. However most liberals are only green in so far as it promotes their socialist ends. Most of the left really isn’t worried about the environment, they know green claims are a fraud. What they’re really after is scaring the public and pushing a socialist agenda. But of course, we’re not allowed to say that lest the we be attacked as environmentally unfriendly or “corporate.”

The Plight of Global Warming Heretics

Global warming, or climate change as they like to call it now, is a religion. It requires strict faith that science knows what it’s talking about. It requires scientists to strictly adhere to climate change orthodoxy or risk having ones reputation tarnished as a heretic. Make no mistake, global warming/climate change does require extreme faith. It requires one to believe in the dire prophecies of scientists, it requires one to believe that the climate scientists have it right and cannot possibly be wrong. It’s little different than my Christian faith, which requires me to believe that scriptures are accurate and correct. Between global warming, evolution and big bang, science has become a religion that requires strict faith absence any facts. It has become that which it claims to abhor.

Johnny Ball is the latest heretic in the scientific world. Ball has the audacity to question climate change. Those in Britain may remember Ball as he had a long running scientific television program. Ball has criticized global warming/climate change theory and has pointed out that it is absurdly expensive to implement various measures aimed at reducing carbon, which has not been proven to be a problem. As a result, Ball has been the victim of attacks online, reduced bookings and other sinister campaigns against his name. He is a heretic in the scientific world for daring to question the conclusions of climate scientists.

Ball is one of hundreds who have been condemned as heretics in the scientific world. Those who outed the scientists who manipulated data at East Anglia and the UN have been condemned as heretics. The data manipulators were given a pass, after all they care so very much about ‘saving’ Earth. Why, they just manipulated data for the good of the world. Those who outed them are evil, they want to destroy the Earth and must have some wicked affiliation with business. If the business is big oil, all the better.

This is how science operates today. Disagreement and questioning isn’t tolerated in the world of climate change. Oh sure, climate scientists are free to question when the disaster will strike and they’re free to question and debate what can save Earth. They can question so long as the ultimate conclusion reached is that man is responsible for warming the Earth and that warming is ‘dangerous’. Any other conclusion reached is cause for a charge of heresy.

Science used to be a field where questioning conclusions was acceptable. There used to be very few absolutes, every conclusion was open to questioning and proving wrong. But in the last century science has become a very rigid field, at least in three areas that just happen to be areas that liberals adore. One is not free to question evolution. It is an absolute fact and any questioning of it is proof that one isn’t a scientist. This despite the fact that there isn’t any actual evidence of evolution, just connections that science assumes proof. The same can be said for big bang. Climate change is another. Science has become religion and unfortunately since the 50′s many Americans were willing to believe the scientists just because they’re scientists.

For those terribly concerned about global warming there is a man made fix to the problem. We are told a small scale nuclear war could reverse the non-existent global warming that we are supposed to fear so much. I think left-wing scientists should run with this information. ‘Nuclear war to save the planet’ ought to be the new global warming slogan. It’s no more absurd than listening to scientists claim that the oceans will rise up and devour New York City or that big winter snow storms are proof of global warming.

The Earth isn’t warming, in fact it hasn’t gotten any warmer since the 90′s. I say this as a global warming heretic though, so take it with a grain of sand. There is a growing heretical movement in the world that sees through the madness coming from science today. There are more and more people who realize that these scientists are in bed with politicians and governments and are working together to take power away from the people. Global warming is a farce and its turning science into a worldwide joke. That science has heretics and that it treats those who question with contempt ought to bother all of us.

Al Gore Claims Snow Storm Proof Of Climate Change

Snowtorious BIG swept through town last night. You can count me as not impressed, mostly because of media over hype. If one were to listen to the hysterical local media you would think the end of the world was near.

Speaking of the end of the world, Al Gore chimed in on the big snow storm. Of course in the world of Al Gore every weather event is proof of man made global warming. It doesn’t matter if it’s of the cold variety. This stands in stark contrast to the hysterical claims of left-wing Democrats who just a few years ago claimed that low snow totals proved global warming was real.

Everything is proof of global warming, or climate change as they like to call it now that the Earth isn’t warming. I personally love the term climate change because it exposes these people as the charlatans they are. Lower than average snow fall proves man made global warming. Major snow storms prove climate change. It all works perfectly for them, they have an answer for everything. And of course they have a big government, socialist solution to fix these ‘problems.’

Those of us who live in the midwest have had major snow storms for our entire lives. Back in the 70′s there were huge storms that dumped a foot or more of snow on Chicago and elsewhere. There were big storms in the 80′s and bitter cold in the 90′s. Even in the 2000′s we have had years where there has been above average snow fall. Mixed in have always been mild winters or winters where we didn’t get as much snow as normal. None of these weather events, or lack thereof, prove anything. Much less that man has caused global warming and only government can save us.

These days the Earth isn’t warming like the global warming fanatics insisted it would. At best Earth has flat lined, perhaps even cooled slightly over the last couple years. It’s been colder than normal in Europe and North America. The last couple of years have seen cold winters and coolish summers in the US.

Since charlatans like Al Gore can’t point to actual warming to prove their case, now they’re claiming that every big storm is proof that man made climate change is causing havoc on Earth’s weather. Anyone with half a brain knows that isn’t true. Throughout the history of mankind there have been big storms. They don’t prove anything other than Earth has big storms. There aren’t more of them now than there used to be. There aren’t less of them either.  They perhaps get more hype because of the internet and 24 hour news networks which spew forth hysteria over every storm. But the number of storms and their strength isn’t any different than it’s ever been.

But of course that won’t stop socialists with an agenda. Make no mistake, the global warming/climate change crowd are socialists and they have an agenda. Government can’t control the weather and they can’t regulate business to the point that it affects weather. But what climate change legislation does do is give socialists more power and more control over our lives. There is no link between man and weather but that won’t stop these people from claiming that there is. Al Gore and his ilk couldn’t care less about the environment and in fact their actions run counter to their rhetoric. What they do care about is implementing socialism in the United States. Hysteria created over global warming or climate change is just their vehicle.
